That would be the worst use of points. Possibly - but it still provides a baseline for a worst case scenario. If there are better uses, that's fine, and I will factor that in, but the worst case scenario is something I think about, because I'm not really a frequent traveler

Small correction, it is a free category 1 to 5 on each card anniversary when an annual fee is assessed.

thank you, you're right. The 1-4 certificate is for the first year. It's Cat 1-5 for each additional year after the first year (which includes 11 JW Mariott, 9 Autograph collection, and 7 AC properties)
