Yes

Spent a sinful $300 last weekend on Naked Sushi for myself and some FWers.

The weekend before that , in Vegas.... well dont quite remember.

But when I was unpacking I saw this - which probably wasnt cheap.

Two biggest bills I've ever run up was dinner for 4 on Christmas Eve at French Laundry, $6800 including tip. Food was ~$950/person and wine was very reasonable, same as retail. Tip was included in the bill. Second was $6200 in Vegas at the opening night of Surrender at Encore. It doesn't sound that bad, but $6200 was the tip on the bill after the casino comped the entire check of $34,000.

that's insane. I'm a total food geek but $1000 pp for food in American would leave me unable to eat for the nausea.

Fatwallet deals that I had no use for.

I think I peed myself a little when I saw that picture. LOL

Personally, I wear a non-transferring lipstick so these kinds of situations can be avoided. If there is no evidence... It didn't happen.

I would say what I almost bought on Wednesday but everyone is going to get upset.

Cindy Starfall?

Does spending a four digit sum at your local Office Depot store using your ink bold card count?

I bought a timeshare.
J/K....but I paid 2 hours of my life for the free lunch and crappy Vegas show tickets, and I make more per hour than the tickets and meal were worth.

Obligatory H&B comment.

I hope you were drinking 82 Latour. French Laundry normally runs ~300 pp for food (~500 with all optional additions). Don't know how you got it to 950.

Edit: Chef's table? Didn't know they had one? Cooking demonstration? I know they do these sometimes during the holidays.

I spend $62.50 in quarters on the Terminator 2 video game in the boardwalk arcade in Santa Cruz when I was 11. I brought $75(savings for a whole year of odd-jobs) for a 3 week trip and it was day 2. I wasn't allowed to have a Nintendo when I was a kid so it was really my parents fault. I played for about an hour and a half and still don't know what the end of the game looked like.

500 bucks to a stripper in las vegas

CptSavAHo said:   but $6200 was the tip on the bill after the casino comped the entire check of $34,000That is a lot of money to spend in the absence of strippers

I know a girl that used to go to Vegas every year with 20k to gamble with (lost it everytime)... That doesn't seem like a big deal but she only made about 40k a year as a nurse. She lived alone in a crappy apartment and drove a rust bucket car. I never understood it.

$2500 donated to charity to meet Depeche Mode

BTW, that wouldn't have paid for fuel for my jet when I flew to my coronation as King of France.

Did you at least get his name?

Recently spent $1,100 on dinner for two with wine pairings at Alinea in Chicago. Amazing experience and I've no regrets about this luxury. I now understand why this is often listed as the best restaurant in the USA and one of the top 10 in the world.

Women.

Need I say more

Twinkies and Ding Dongs.

I bought a really nice camcorder for those who buy non-transferring lipstick. Just sayin.

That, too, is what I call an investment.

Surprised nobody is discussing weddings.

What year were you wearing those jeans....1987? If not, time to spend some money on jeans from this decade.

I'm guessing you never found a pair of jeans that "fits"... Tough to let go of those. I have a pair that should've been retired a long time ago yet I still wear them. Nowdays just mostly around the house, wouldn't take them on the Vegas trip

600 bucks for 800 dollar floor seats to ufc 98 at mandalay bay. My friend and I tipped the waitress well and got free drinks all night long. It was fun enough that I won't preclude doing it again.

I paid $1600 for a 42" HDTV in 2007. Now they are $200-$400.

An unknown amount, but everything I ever made in the first 35 years of my life, on 3 wives (and a few girl friends).
