So are people actually receiving the $50 statement credit? I got this 50k offer in the mail, but it didn't have the $50 credit in the offer.

Just be happy  My wife had the 50K offer and I gladly took it.  1/2 way to Europe business class!

Edit: You need to have points in your account, be logged in to United.com, and it looks like the MPYoureIn50k50AFWIC.aspx link shows the 55k + $50 credit. When you click apply, it reverts to offer F5BV and cell 6YBV. Offer is blank, so it looks like you have to register on faith that it works.

I took the leap of faith and applied yesterday on the page TheDiggler posted https://applynow.chase.com/FlexAppWeb/samlLanding.do?AFFID=&CAT=0&SPID=F5BV&CELL=6K30

Immediately SMed to confirm "min spend to get signup bonus" and received confirmation from CSR
-  one-time 50,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000.00 in the first three months
-  one-time 5,000 bonus miles by adding an authorized user and making first purchase in the first three months of opening account
-  one-time 10,000 bonus miles when spending $25,000.00 or more on each calendar year

It still works.  Thanks!!

Got this deal earlier this year when it was 30k miles... terms say only good for first-time United Mileageplus cardholders... anyone in my same position tried signing up?

It worked for me and I currently have the (old) Chase United MileagePlus Select Visa, which is still active.

SMed = messaged. Not sure what the 'S' is, usually I see this as PM (private message) or DM (direct message).
CSR = Customer service representative

BostonOne's got it.

I normally would refer to as PM also, but I see most folks use SM when referring to Chase because in the Chase login it's called the "Secure Message" function. =)

Got it works perfectly. Approved instantly for a $18K line. I hope for $25K line but it is not bad, will take it.

Confirmed the promo with CSR.

50K miles for 2K spend in 103 days + $50 statement credit after first transaction + 5K miles for auth user added withing the 103 days period.

See this earlier post first. If the procedure in there doesn't work, read the simplified version, where independent confirmation of the application URL was posted here.

Yes, remember you need to have a miles account and have to be logged in.

Your mileage number and name/address should be copied automatically to the app.

Thanks, TheDiggler.  I just applied using your instructions with the "F5BV" link, and was instantly approved for a $25kCL.

Then right aftwards, when I was logged into my United account, and while viewing http://www.united.com/web/en-US/apps/account/account.aspx I saw another 50k mile United Miles Plus offer (incluidng with with the 5k and 10k mile add-ons, but no mention of the $50 statement credit.)  And I went ahead and checked out that link to see if it was the same as the offer I had just applied to.  It lead to a slightly different "F5BZ" link, which I wanted to pass on in case the "F5BV" offer stops working for you all.

Here is the first link the 50k mile ad brought me to:
https://www.theexplorercard.com/MPYoureIn50kAFW.aspx?v_ctrk=ATOP$0-1199-5409-1-3552&cell=YBV&int_source=loy&int_medium=uacom&int_campaign=explorer_50kafw_alm12320&int_content=50k&targeting=eqs&partner_category=cc&partner_name=chase_acq&promo_code=cell_ybv&asset_position=atop&launch_date=2013-09-11

And after clicking that, here is what its"apply now" link went to:
https://www.theexplorercard.com/UMPCreditAppRedirect.aspx?SPID=F5BZ&CELL=YBV&REFERID=TEC

Obviously YMMV, but here's my timeline so far

12/26 - Applied, instant approval
12/27 - Added AU
1/2 - Received card
1/3 - First purchase
1/8 - $50 statement credit appeared on account
1/11 - 1st Statement closed, 5K bonus for AU received

I'm still a few hundred from the $2K spend, will report back on that also.

Chrome would not see this change through a simple reload - probably would have to clear Cache for it to update.

IE did see the change. I applied, and was deferred. It'll be a miracle if I do get it, considering I just cancelled my old United MP card in December...

Edit: Approved with a low limit. Doesn't matter though, as it's high enough to hit the bonus! Wife was also approved instantly today using the same method I just outlined.

I transferred UR points. See them reflected in my United account. Still only seeing 30k offer.

Transferred UR points. Waited 10 minuted. Cleared IE cache. Logged into United. Copied link from OP. No dice...I'll try again later and report back if successful.

F5BV offer code might be expired. They last from 1 month to 3 months.

Wait for a new one.
They keep refreshing it every few months.

I got my $50 credit but havent met the 2K threshold yet for 50K miles, I am at 1.6K.
Actually I am not sure if it is 3K or 2K.

No fine print with details. Not even sure if it is legal to not put the offer terms in T&C section.
Chase reps are totally unaware of offer terms and conditions. They can confirm only after application. Very poor support.
Applying online is a big gamble.

Don't see any specific limitation on the passes indicating that you must be flying on UAL, but this is an appropriate question to ask directly of the MileagePlus Service Center

Has anyone had any recent success with this? I've tried all of the suggested options yesterday and again just now with no luck. I've only ever come across the 30k offer with and without the $50 statement credit. Thanks!

Try this latest simplified option (w/ updated URL in STEP #3):

  1. Navigate to: http://United.com/Club1YearFree

  2. Login w/ your MileagePlus account

  3. Copy/paste the following URL into your browser:
    https://www.theexplorercard.com/50k50AFWIC

If successful, step #3 above should pull up the latest splash page for 50K Bonus offer (after $2k spend) + 5K Bonus (for adding an authorized user) + $50 statement credit.

The underlying "Apply Now" button directs to:
https://www.theexplorercard.com/ApplicationProcessing?SPID=F5BV&CELL=K30&REFERID=TEC

which then re-directs to:
https://applynow.chase.com/FlexAppWeb/samlLanding.do?

w/ all application variable settings POSTED to the web-page (in the underlying HTML, no longer litsed on the URL line).

Thank you for the updated method.  Unfortunately the link in step #3 still redirects me to the 30kAFW offer, even when clearing my cache/trying in private browsing mode.  I received a few miles from BCKSTGR a couple of days ago, so I do have recent activity. I'll try again tomorrow and see.  Thanks again.

Repeat steps 1 -3, then copy/paste the link for the 50K offer "Apply Now" button:

https://www.theexplorercard.com/ApplicationProcessing?SPID=F5BV&CELL=K30&REFERID=TEC

If that takes you to a resulting application page, view the PAGE SOURCE, then search for the text "F5BV" (once viewing the HTML source, press CTRL+F to find text).
If you find that text in the HTML source (several times), you should be on the 50K application page.

*EDIT* It may suffice to repeat steps 1 & 2, then copy/paste the link for the 50K offer "Apply Now" button.

I'm finding that this application link gives me a 404 error.  If I travel to it without being logged in, it tells me that the page is currently unavailable and to try again in 24 hours.

Perhaps the offer is simply expired?  Thank you for your help, regardless.

The offer shows up for me, so it's not expired. Given the 404 error you're receiving, it sounds like the offer is targeted, although simply having recent MileagePlus activity on your account no longer appears to be the "targeting criteria."  See if this approach works:

Login, get to the 30K page, click on "Apply Now".  Once at the 30K application, copy/paste the URL for the 50K application page.
If you don't get a 404 error after pasting the 50K page, check the HTML source as previously suggested to verify it's the 50K page.

you should SM and ask Chase

I was booking a flight when I saw the offer. Got approved immediately and used the new card to pay for my flight. I expect the statement credit, and I already met the spend with my flights so I'm good to go. Funny thing was once I was approved, I saw the United Club Card, the one that comes with a full Club membership and for the first time ever, it had the first year fee waived ($495). No bonus miles, but that is still a deal for the frequent flyer.

sent the SM, didn't work

With Chase, you usually need to wait at least 18-24 months before you can receive sign-up bonuses again on the same product.  So it's unsurprising that you didn't get the bonus again after a mere two months since you last canceled the same card.

Visa Signature is not considered a different product from non-Signature Visas.  Visa vs MC would be different, though.
