Double Hilton Honors points from airport and other merchants

I think any credit card can be registered (not just Hilton HHonors)

Strange... would seem to overlap with with the Hilton Dining program... wonder if that is going away.

I'm guessing not. Seems completely different, and not as good. All the restaruants in my area say: Visa only; must purchase gift certificate via restaurant.com to Earn 3 Miles or 6 Points per Dollar Spent on Certificate Amount.

Only gets worse from there: on the car front, neither San Jose nor Dallas area have anything except rewards for Limo's.

Am I missing something? Seems like you have to go through hoops to get most of the rewards.
Not only that, but I can find NOTHING on the Hilton website about this... with that, I'm not planning on typing my credit card into thanksagain.com, despite the promises they have on their website.
