Is there a thread listing the phone numbers for Loan Modification Departments? Archived From: Finance

I have been searching for the phone number for Countrywide's Loan Modification (Streamline Refinance) department.

Is there a consolidated thread somewhere that lists all of the Loan Modification Departments phone numbers for different lenders?

no theres never been a thread on this topic but lets start it here...it could be an EXCELLENT thread

At least for Cal Fed/First Nationwide Mortgage (now Citimortgage), the "Streamline Refi" phone number was different, and much more accessible than the "semi-secret" modification line...their streamline refi program was not really much better than just going into the branch and starting a regular refi....

I dont know if its still active since the Citimortgage transition, but I think I have the #s for Cal Fed/First Nationwide Mortgage and will post them when I dig up papers...

I encourage others to post these modification phone #s for ALL banks!

This is the number i used for my CitiMortgage modification: 800-685-5626

However, i believe First Nationwide Mortgage (who Citibank bought out) is now handling modifications for them.

thanks! this # still works for Citimortgage/former First Nationwide customers and has a nice prerecorded announcement listing todays modification rates....anyone else who knows the "semi-secret" telephone numbers for your lender's modification dept, post them!
