Sounds good. However, we should track down IBJanky to make sure he is still "on the wagon".

he's posted this year. He is doing quite well for himself financially.

It is in the FWF FAQ, as a link... the FAQ is at the top of every FWF page!

And I asked the mod to edit the title last year, to add the "ibjanky" part. This makes it searchable THROUGHOUT FW (as long as it doesn't go stale and archive).

oh, and BUMP!!!

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I checked this thread. Glad to see that some of you still care to post.

Overall, things are great. I'm still living in my condo in Long Beach. My current rate is a 30-yr fixed at 5.6% I'm actually waiting to see if interest drops more, so I can refinance and lower my mo. mortgage.

And yes, I still drive my Scion xB. Although I haven't been driving it much nowadays. My employer gives me a take home ride and free gas so I make sure to take advantage of it.

As far as my future plans, I'm thinking of starting a business. It's still in the early planning stages right now but give me some time

Anyway, I hope y'all are doing well. And to those who are currently in debt, just remember: there's always light at the end of the tunnel. Just keep on pushing and never give up. You'll be happy that you didn't.

Just wanted to add in that after reading just a part of the thread I decided that chronicling the journey is worthwhile... so I turned a thread where I was originally asking for advice into one where I'm detailing my journey to debt freedom (at least from Student loans and CC's)

http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/finance/908570/?start=0

You are truly an inspiration IB... one day hopefully my thread will end with 0 CC/Student loan debt but I know that day is far off since I'm starting w/well over 100k... most of which is student loans... I've got a family to support to so that makes my journey a bit longer than it would be if I were single... I also already bought a house (same $$ to pay mortgage or rent around here so it made sense to build equity), but do have to do work to it as it is nearly 130 years old (just looked it up and found out it was built in 1880!)

Anyways the point is ... Thank you... reading the journey's of others... it helps through the tough times!...

Its time to go on a Spending Spree!

What else is he going to do if he's not trying to get out of debt.

Spend now and let inflation take care of it, like the government

I'm glad you didn't take my advice and spend up and let inflation take care of it... The huge inflation hasn't hit yet
