I was just able to reallocate 9k from 2 personal cards (both dividend cards) over to the 5% cashreturns card. i called at 5:30 central time, got a nice non-foreign lady who got it taken care of for me in less than 10 minutes. she also explained to me that they only restrict reallocations to cards with BT offers below 3% with a capped/no fee. |

another data point..... timed call, 2pm PST, got a US CSR. I was able to CONSOLIDATE a SIMPLICITY card into a HOME REBATE card with 0% BT and $0 Fees. COULD NOT move or reallocate the credit line, must be a consolidation and closure of the old account. Any new card with 0% and/or $0 fees can not be increased via REALLOCATION, must be CONSOLIDATION. And one more note, only ONE consolidation per day. I was unable to consolidate another account into this new Home Rebate card. |

The home rebate card is a really picky one when it comes to consolidating the credit limits. I was rejected the first time but the next time I called I believe I was moved up the chain to a supervisor and he consolidated everything I had onto my Citibusiness card. |

EugeneV said:(...) You can re-allocate CL, but must leave a minimum of 1K on it even if you want to cancel the card.
Minimum CL on most personal cards is only $100. Also, for the first time I was able to re-allocate from ExxonMobil MC, originally issued by Associated Bank and kept on a "separate platform" ever since Citi bought them. Let's see if my request goes through this time. They re-allocated from Dividend where I had small balance and asked them to leave 1K CL. They closed my other two personal cards without balance where I asked to leave $100 CL (Diamond Rewards and Simplisity)!!! And of course they have not touched ExxonMobil. $500 of CL went missing in the process. |

Yea, the lady at citi told me the same thing, that they will not transfer CL to any account that has less then a 3% APR offer because it is a "loss leader" for them |

Just consolidated (would not reallocate) from Citi Dividend (personal) to Citi Home Rebate (personal) with no problems. Called the number listed on the first page, they then transferred me to customer service. All of the previous line was moved successfully to the Home Rebate. Yay for 12 months 0%, 0 fees! |

Called and reallocated my 3 Chase credit lines last night. For some reason, I was under the impression from FWF that reallocations with Chase result in a HARD pull, but to my surprise, no hard pull was conducted and CL shift was painless. |

Is it possible to reallocate CLs right after approval over the phone, before receiving the cards in mail? I am especially interested in Citi, Bofa, Chase and AMEX. TIA |

Technologist said:Can anyone update on Juniper Bank / Barclays? I have 2 cards (one with 11K CL, the other is 15K). I want to move the 15k on the US airways card to my TiVo card (all of it and close the USAir card, so I don't pay annual fee) I am also willing to leave a small CL on USAir, and beg to have them waive fee. Then, I have a sweet BT offer (max 75 bucks BT fee), and want to take 50% of line to lower utilization on some other cards.
Any help would be appreciated!
Summary: 1. Will Juniper / Barclays allow reallocation (without Hard pull)? 2. Anyone have any luck on getting USAIR CC annual fee waived?
If no one answers shortly, I will just have to take the time and try it, then I will update the QS! Technologist, I am in the same boat as you were. Did you find answers to your questions? |

Shot down on an attempt to reallocate from Charles Schwab card to BOA NEA. BOA CSR said he cannot even see the Schwab card on his computer. |

I just had a very positive experience reallocating personal cards with BOA. Went from: -Iowa card #1 -Iowa card #2 -NY Jets card (oldest) -BOA AMEX to one 21k line on the Jets card. All this took 1 5 min phone call. I told the guy what I wanted to do, he said "ok". He did it, and we were done. Compared to the multiple calls and BS I have had to put up with from Citi and Chase to do the same thing I was impressed. |

One phone call to Chase GM Bus card and moved CL from Chase Bus Visa card and personal Chase Rewards card to GM without any problem. Although the CSR said it would take a couple of days & has not appeared online yet. |
