If you need to know an ABA routing number for which you can't just look at a check, and you don't want to wait for a response from customer service, try:
In cases where a bank does have more than one, it's often helpful to look at the cities.
Using Chase as an example, I would assume all of the following:
JP Morgan Chase is formerly Chase Manhattan, is the bank itself: 021000021 Chase USA NA Wilmington DE is probably the Chase Credit Card Division: 031100144 JPM Chase Texas is for those Texas banks formerly part of Texas Commerce Bank: 113000609
Even if I'm wrong, if you click on the More button, it will give you the full, official name of the bank, which you can then match to your documents to determine the correct one.
FYI - the first two digits of the ABA # corresponds to the Federal Reserve District that the bank is located in... 02 is New York, 11 is Dallas, etc. (Just look 'em up on Dollar bills - B=02=NY, K=11=Dallas, etc.)
A = 01 or 21 = Boston B = 02 or 22 = New York C = 03 or 23 = Philadelphia D = 04 or 24 = Cleveland E = 05 or 25 = Richmond F = 06 or 26 = Atlanta G = 07 or 27 = Chicago H = 08 or 28 = St. Louis I = 09 or 29 = Minneapolis J = 10 or 30 = Kansas City K = 11 or 31 = Dallas L = 12 or 32 = San Francisco
