Looks like this is the best rewards card for everyday purchases for the next year...

I am glad to see somebody can take advantage of this offer. I am getting one too even I have no balance to transfer. It is easy to get the $25x12=$300 instant bonus on $250 per month spending, my average monthly bill is like $1000.

OK, so where are the details I can read?
I don't see anything on the MBNA site about a 10% bonus for this card and it's been my experience that when cards offer a bonus for "many everyday purchases" they are referring to specific products from specific manufactures. uPromise is an example of this. Don't be counting on getting 10% on much of anything.

I got this offer from a snail mail. It says "grocery stores, drugstores, hardware stores and restaurants" for 10% bonus, maybe includes more stores. More details may come with you new card, or you can call that 800 number to find out.

I just got a new version of this solicitation....
Only 5% cash back to 12/04, on drugstores, grocery, hardware, and restaurants.
No annual fee, 5.9% APR, Worldpoints (net of the rebates), 1-800-437-0180.
Could i just get a check to deposit into my checking account instead of a BT?

I received a solicitation in the mail today for a worldpoints MBNA card. It was 0% APR on BT for a year, but with a 3% transaction fee. The offer is in the trash, so I cannot provide further details. I don't think this is an identical offer to the OP, but more of a heads up to look for any transaction fees for those considering the card for a BT.

I just called and they asked for a 4-digit priority code. Can anyone help me out?

Behind the 11 digit number there is a 4 digit source code, I need that, can someone let me knwo what it is.
Finally got someone on the phone at MBNA... Apparently they cannot convert cards cross-group, so I had to apply separately to receive the card then perform a reallocation of my credit line .... kept $2,000 on AAA (the minimum for a Plat Plus card), and transferred $11,900 to my new WorldPoints.
My offer had 3% BT fee Max $75, and did not offer a promo APR... just 5.9% on everything.
I want to reiterate that the cash rewards limit seems to be $25 per month no matter which solicitation you got.... that's only $500 in spending, folks.

Pretty easy to max out...
If this 10% like the OP says on everyday purchases, it would only take $250 spend to max out. That's 2 trips to the grocery store for Marge.

You're right.. even easier for the 10% folks... mine was 5%, hence my math... but my APR was lower.... oh, the tangled webs MBNA weaves.

On the other hand, if you get a card for every pet you've got, you only need $250 credit line on each.

Unless I see the offer in print to know that anyone can apply and to see the correct code (sometimes wrong codes are given on this board), I would hold off. Chances are I will not get the same 10% instant rebate just by calling that 1-800 number.

LOL, no offence, but it sounds like you think that others have the obligation to convince you that this is a good deal, because for some reason it's important for everybody else that you apply for this card

If OP or anyone else who knows what the priority code is will post it, anyone can 1. call any CSR 2. tell him/her you got an offer in the mail with priority code XXXX 3. ask for the details of this offer to verify it's the right one
On the other hand, if you get a card for every pet you've got, you only need $250 credit line on each.
Santos L. Helper likes his Membership Rewards card for now.
Might get this one for the boy though.

I did not realize it is so complicated. Apparently, MBNA uses the same phone number to take application on different cards. I just added the code HGW4 to OP as someone PM me, it is the four digit code after the 11-digit ID number.
I just called the 800# and referenced the code the OP listed to get details on the deal. Apparently, the deal is so new that it's not in their system yet. Unfortunately, the operator could not give me any details around the promotion. The only thing offer was, "if that what it says, then that's what it is." Hopefully someone that received the offer could post more details.

Are you so confident that you could ask for this offer without so much as a source code, never mind read any of the fine print associated with this offer. I would be very surprised if you receive the nefarious 10% rebate.

We'll see, the card suppose to arrive in a few days - I'll post the info here when it arrives.
Both CSR who took the application and CSR from credit dept who approved it confirmed that this card comes with 10% cash back. Pretty much the same way I applied for ATT 5% card, just got the # from the thread and called.
This reminds me of one time when Staples have messed up and their on-line $ off coupons could be used together, 3 coupons combined would give you $100 of $100. I submitted two orders right away. Told about this to my father and my uncle, but they were suspicious of the deal and wanted to find out more details before ordering. When they did submit their orders 2 days later, they got e-mail from Staples saying that there is a problem with coupons and the ourder could not be processed. My free scanner and a free printer arrived in about a week. There fore my motto is: jump on the deal while it lasts;o)

I did what fotomaniak did, before OP updated with the code.
The CSR found the program fine, after I gave her the 6/05 date. She verified the 10% promo and said the details will be mailed with the card.

I called and gave OP's source code because they asked where did I see it. Seems they were trying to zero in on the correct application offer.
The CSR confirmed it was the 10% rebate deal, even said maximum $25/month.
Got approval after speaking with the credit dept. but he noted that since I have another MBNA card, he wanted to realign the limits which was fine with me. I wanted to keep a higher limit on the Quantum card, so I transfered a small amount (4K). It is still a Platinum Plus according to the CSR, no minimum credit line needed it seems.
Oh, and I almost forgot, thanks OP, Foto and Mrbean

in my experience: MBNA never offers BTs with no fee, nor they offer the rates for the life of the balance. If you ask for fee to be waived they usually refuse, one time I succseeded in waiving the fee for the second BT to the same card (i.e. I transferred $18K paid BT fee, then transferred another $4K and the fee was waived(only after I asked, they don't do it automatically).
Usually their BT fee has $50 max, some cards though have $75 max. So if you have a small credit limit it's not worth it.

I just applied and got rejected for the card.. are they strict with accepting people
yangocc, what do you mean the rebate is on "every retails"? I gather you mean ever "grocery stores, drugstores, hardware stores and restaurants"? Thanks for posting this.
For me, the interesting feature of this card is the restaurants piece. Most ED spending cards, notably Citibank 5% dividends, don't include that as an ED category.
Actually, anyone using this for the 10% back will almost certainly NOT want to do a BT also, since you'll accrue interest on the ED purchases. It's always better to segregate cards used for BTs from those used for purchases.

"grocery stores, drugstores, hardware stores and restaurants" is what's in the offer letter. "every retails" is what I was told when I called in. I asked if gas station is good for this 10% bonus, she told me it is good on every retails. I will update with more details when I get my card next week.

I called once concerning one of my accounts and they said they would contact me via e-mail. Of course I never heard from them but about a week later they showed up as pending and then the next statement the 500 points were there for both of my accounts. I collected 5000 points on both accounts and have redeemed them for $50 shipboard credit for my Celebrity cruise later this year. Now I am putting away these cards.
