Do you know what constitutes DD for this bank?
I think they do a hard pull. Past reports indicate that ACH push out from other accounts such as ING, ETrade, any other bank that has free ACH out will work for DD. No indication of how much you need to push out to the Sovereign bank account. NO hard pull. confirmed by previous reports and by the rep on the phone when I just opened. You can fund with credit card up to $1000 if you call on the phone |

No, that is the Chex system. It is not a hard pull unless you ask for the overdraft line of credit on your checking account. |

Are there any fees for a Sovereign Visa® CheckCard ("CheckCard")? It doesn't mention anywhere that the CheckCard is free with the account opening, only thing mentioned in the T&C is "request a Sovereign Visa® CheckCard ("CheckCard")" Thanks |

Also, within 60 calendar days of account opening, you must initiate a monthly direct deposit such as payroll, pension or Social Security, or other government benefits. The reward will be deposited into your new account within 10 days after the initial direct deposit has posted to your account. Limit one personal checking account-related reward/premium per customer, per calendar year. Offer not available on account conversions or in combination with any other offer. Reward is not considered part of the minimum opening balance. Checking account must remain open for a minimum of six months or the reward will be debited from the account at closing. If so, is there a minimum amount to use (can I get away with $2 or something)? |

I have satisfied the DD requirement with a scheduled monthly transfer from my HSBC account. I transfer in $10 on the 10th, and pull it out on the 15th |

On bonuses in general - are they usually only given out when a new banking or credit card product is first introduced? (during the first few months?) Have been waiting for Fidelity or Schwab bonuses to return on their cards and checking accounts for at least 6 months and am wondering whether I should just forget waiting and get the accounts. |
