If I'm reading it correctly, this page shows that you can potentially earn the 5000 mile bonus for direct deposit TWICE??? Once for the savings account, and another for the checking? The 5000 bonus for billpay is obvoiusly only for checking.

So...
1000 = open checking with $200
1000 = open savings with $200
5000 = billpay checking
5000 = direct deposit checking
5000 = direct deposit savings

Are you sure? The text says "5,000 AAdvantage® Miles - Earned on 12 month anniversary of participating in Bill Pay service associated with your Mileage Checking Account"

Which I think means it's a one time event after your first 12th month anniversary. It doesn't say "earned on every X month anniversary"...

I wonder if virtual bank monthly ach in counts as "direct deposit"?

It worked for the etrade bank direct deposit deal.
