Just a word of caution here: If this offer is handled through thankyouredemptions.com (just like a similar Citibank offer I got), you may be in for a long wait and several phone calls before you are credited with anything.

As an existing cardmember, they sent me a similar offer back in August, saying that if I made any purchase during the qualifying period they would credit me with bonus points to redeem for various GCs. At the time they claimed the credit would appear in 1-2 billing cycles.

After three months of checking with thankyouredemptions and zip credit, I had to phone them. Could not find ANY customer service email on their web site. Each CSR gave me a different excuse. One said I would be credited precisely on Oct. 30th. The next (on Nov. 15th) said the first one should never have named a date. Then they claimed someone would call me back, which never happened. Then they said it would take THREE billing cycles, contrary to Citibank's own statement. Finally I had to start using words like "State Attorney General's Office" to get their attention, and CSR put on a manager who instantly credited me.

Talk about a hassle. And that's just to get the bonus points. Once you order a gift certificate with them, they say it can take up to another two months before you get it. So...potential wait of almost a half a year.

Let's hope they clean up their act.

Signed my wife up for this one and for the AT&T one - $200 ching!!!

I have received the AT&T $100 gift card and it did take about 5 calls but it came!

Hey glad AT&T came through for you, but I'd like to hear how you fare with Citibank and thankyouredemptions.com

AT&T is citibank. Same thing.

there was an ad this morning in our paper (actually in tribune magazine)

however, be wary for these are thankyoupoints. I'm still waiting for my free 5000 points for applying a few months back (so I can get a $50 GC) I already called them a few times, faxed over the offer details (for some reason, they didn't know about the offer). I'm still waiting, 2 weeks ago when i called, the CSR told me that the request has been sent out to a final group... and I will get the rewards within a week. I'm still waiting. Horrible CSR rewards service.

I can vouch for this, I had a Platinum Select card which was due for renewal so they sent me the new card with the $50 / 5000 points offer after first purchase. Since September, nothing. Also had offers online for the same card mentioning 5% through September and October on clothing purchases, anyone tried that one? No Cash Back there either... OTOH, my Dividend card has been earning rewards nicely without problems. It's the Thank You Redemptions that are screwed up.

I got a Citi 5000 points card, but they credited my account almost instantly. I redeemed my points about 2 weeks ago and haven't received the actual gift card, though.

i've done the at&t card and the citi diamond rewards platinum offers, one via ad from magazine ad thread here and other from mail offer. The AT&T card required a phone call after which i received my points on the next paper bill. The mail in offer I received automatically the next cycle also without a phone call. I first saw the point total on my citi online rewards listing and then it transferred over to thankyouredemptions. When I redeemed it took 2-3 weeks for the gc's to arrive. My girlfriend also did the at&t card offer, had to call as well but got hers after a similar period.

I redeemed my 10000 points this morning (first purchase a month ago; I think the points were credited awhile back, I just forgot to check). Redeemed at thankyouredemptions.com, lets see how long it takes to get the $100 giftcard
