regarding zeros in front of your account number:
this is my case; under 'Preferences' online, i have 2 zeros in front. in my july statement, the 2 zeros are not present.
for me, i go with the acct. no. in my july statement, no preceding zeros. i have seen this similarly with my other bank accounts.
also, in my july statement i had this;
Annual Percentage Yield Earned : 10.64%
anyone else see this?! |

Can anybody post how long it takes to transfer money from an external account to the ED account, how long it's in probation before you can touch it and when it starts to affect the principle in interest earned? Also how long does it take to transfer out?
I know I saw it earlier, but that was way too many pages ago.
Perhaps if info like this was in quick links that'd be great =) |

I used the same routing number and was able to verify the new account number with Ameritrade the next day! |

What a myth! If you try to open a CD with your saving account, the 2 zeros are there and the system won't allow you to change.

it is. i meant the 2 zeros in your account number are clearly there if you just try to open a CD.
And it says this is your account number with us! matr8x said:tomprc said:What a myth! If you try to open a CD with your saving account, the 2 zeros are there and the system won't allow you to change.

you did not read the thread. at issue is whether there shall be 2 leading zeros in your account number. My direct deposit failed.

Well, what do you think "opmnxtc" was talking about here:

Here is what it actually looks like when you choose to fund a CD with ED. Note that this is the same interface as funding from other banks via ACH. So in the context of ACH, the account number **here** has zeros. Note that the account numbers in the statement and in the preference tab are just for you to read. But in this case the account numbers may be also for the computer to read.
Fund Your Account Application for "My Way" CD Maturing in July 2013 Fund Your Account Required fields in bold Name of Bank EmigrantDirect Name(s) on Account x Routing Number 226070319 Re-enter Routing Number 226070319 Account Number 00XXXXXXXX Re-enter Account Number 00XXXXXXXX |

I have my own domain too and I get mail for "brett" or "jenny" (i.e., fake users) all the time. Just random probing.
Might want add some digits or something to the localpart in the future. |

I do not get any other spam at this domain, and I checked my server logs, and there was NO guessing involved unless they got it on their first try. I have no doubts that ED leaked the address. |
