Be prepared to wait a bit for the GC. Most of the ones I wanted were on backorder and I was told 4-6 weeks until they'd be "on hand" and then another 4-6 weeks for shipping. I don't know if this is just a standard CS response or not, but I was a bit disappointed at the response. Perhaps they'd come in quicker (but IME, no less than 2 weeks after your order).
FWIW, I also got a 1,000 point "card activation bonus" with this card. Not sure why, but I'll take it.

Actually if you don't accept it for several times, the bonus will go up to 20,000 points, which means $200 GC or almost an air ticket~ Just wait!!
Signed up for the offer, just mentioned that I got a flyer in the mail, there's no offer number to worry about. This rewards program seems pretty solid, there's no annual fee on the card, they give you $100 right off the bat after making your first purchase, and if you want to use the card for BTs you can get 0% for 12 months.
On the website it says that you can get no BT fee if you make a BT when you sign up, but I asked the CSR abou tit and he said that it's not available for this particular offer. Their BT fee is 3% (min $5 to max $50).
Be careful about on-time payments too... Citi likes to ream you if you're late. They're deliquent accounts APR is prime + 23.99% !!!

My mailed solicitation also said no BT fee and the online BT offer shows no fee (whereas, on my friend's 1.99% for life it shows 3% max $50). YMMV, of course.

I ordered 2 gift cards with my 10,000 points. It's been 5 weeks and I've only just received one of them.

That sucks. I just ordered mine last week. Waiting for the Office Depot cards to come to use. 10,000 points posted about 2 months after acceptance.

FWIW, I received my item in roughly 2.5 weeks (ordered mid-December). The points took about a week after receiving the card to credit on citicards.com (the end of my billing period) and another week to show up on TYR.com. The "order history" still shows no shipping date or tracking number.
saw ad today for same card. apply at 1-800-509-8920. 0%bt through 2/1/06, no bt. 10k thankyou points = $100gc. yes the gc's take a while. 2 months for $100 gc at no cost to me is a hot deal.

I've ordered a few giftcards with my thankyou points, with turnaround ranging from 3 to 6 weeks on them. All of them came with no problem, but nowhere near as quickly as Discover CashBack bonuses.

Can we get a scan of the ad if possible? Citi seems to like to renege on some offers unless you have proof to fax them.
Call 1-800-815-1387 to apply by 4/15/05 Points for $100 gift card if you make purchase within 3 months of account opening. Bonus points post within 1 to 2 billing cycles. 0% APR for BTs, but there's a 3% fee, min $5, max $50

I just received my card after signing up for this deal through the phone number above. The CSR tells me that no purchase is necessary to get the 10k points but I don't believe her so be aware that the reps don't know what they are talking about. They did tell me that there is no BT fee if BT is made before 3/01/05. That doesn't leave anyone much time if you haven't applied already since you should make a purchase first, pay it off (to insure you get the 10k points) and then BT. Would still like to get a scan if anyone has the ad and a scanner in case citi decides to 'forget' about the points as other threads have mentioned.

Same here, I ordered the Sears gift card and recd it in less than a week.
Now, I am intrigued. Do you have any info on this and did you in fact sign up when you were offered this? For $200 gc I would jump. Thanks!

I'm lost, sorry.
How do you not accept it for a few times and get it to go to 20,000 points??? Isn't this something you have to call to apply for?
Their web site only lists 5,000 points and I'd much prefer to apply online. Is there a way to do so and get the 10k or 20k bonus? I'd dump my Chase i-Card if they made me the right offer!

Don't think you can get this deal online. I called in to apply and it was painless enough. I also don't understand how you are supposed to get 20k points. The printed offer is for 10k.

i can email you the printed offer if you want me to ... but i don't know how to post the link on this message board. I applied for the card and received it, but just received the card a couple of days ago.

So I received my card after calling in about this deal and was told numerous times by CSR that I get 10k bonus points after first purchase and a no fee BT if I make the BT before the end of Feb. So I made my purchase and paid it off online and called today to do a BT and suddenly there is a 3% BT fee and the CSR says all offers have a BT fee even though I was told at sign up that there would be no fee. I'm pissed because this is the second time Citi has done a bait and switch with me (the other time was on my AT&T card, was told I would get 5% on all purchases but do not). I'm skeptical if I will even get the 10K bonus points now, they say wait for 2 billing periods.
Ok so I got the card, made a 15 dollar purchase and then paid it off online. Then I did a BT to myself for 90% of the credit line. They wouldn't get rid of the BT fee so I lost $50 on the interest I will earn with the money BUT they did give me another 1,000 bonus points making the grand total of 11,015 points earned and a 12 month 0% BT (minus $50 fee) to my savings account. All in all a great deal!

How long did it take for the 10K points to show up? I got the card about a week ago, $200 in purchases are showing up (not itemized), points for that but no 10k.
Well, as much as I HATE calling in to apply for a credit card (I could have applied online much faster) I just called and the terms are still valid. I had read somewhere that if you debate them or ask a bit, they sometimes bump you up to 20,000 points to sign up but I wanted to get off the phone and get it over with.
The rep did say "All gift cards take 4 - 6 weeks to be received" so I am not sure if they gets them off the hook for some of the late deliveries I've read about, but we'll see.
Did anyone here actually get 20,000 pts? Someone mentioned it earlier but never saw anything again on it.
thanks.

My 10K points showed up online some time after my $100 purchases but even before my 1st statement. I registered for a gift card, and it arrived fairly promptly (~2 weeks).

How do you do a balance transfer to yourself? I thought it has to be to another creditor
Log into accountonline.com, click Manage My Account -> Transfer Balances. Follow instructions on BTs, the first check is usually already made out to yourself.

INterestingly, I don't see any online application website or code listed. We got this in the Sunday paper a few weeks back.
Thanks for sharing--I just called up, and applied. I find out my eligibility in 3 - 4 weeks. Isn't this a bit slow? (I thought these credit companies usually are able to verify/confirm everything during the same phone call.)
