You can use the following link to view FNBO status: Link
If you have a 14 digit numeric AppId, enter it where the 1 is at the end of this link: https://www.firstnational.com/iwsOnline/public/appstatus/form.do?appId=1 * *the appid in an email I received was 14 digits in length but it appears an arbitrary single digit will suffice.

Another number for Chase is (888) 245-0625. This will take you directly to a person who can make an immediate decision on your application. Applied online @ 12:15am EST, went to sleep, woke up this morning, placed the call, approved.
800-968-0801, 0, ask CSR to xfer you underwriting/application department. I asked for the direct number but after a brief hold, she said the direct line to credit underwriting is only available to bank employees.
2008-08-25 edit: that's BS... 501-661-7379 direct line...
BOA number added to the mix... I called 800-932-2775 originally to provide a pin number so that they could access my Experian credit report. They transferred me to 888-260-4696 (5AM-5PM PST).
I was asked to contact Experian to lift freeze.....I advised that I had already done so....After a long hold, I was told that a manager will be calling back to provide me further details so that my hold time isn't so long.
(added number to QS)
edit: I discovered this (888-260-4696) was the secured card line.
Anyone ever get the BOA online status check to work? I tried with a previous application, and again with one this week. It always says it can't find any information.
I want to add that the Bank of America 1-800-932-2775 option #3 worked for me to check my application status. Here's how you can check what balance they gave you, automatically, before getting the card in the mail: -Dial the same number, select option #2 for "assistance with a recently approved or existing account". It will say it's transferring you to Customer Services. -Ignore it every time it asks for your card number -Press #1 for English (or another for Spanish) when it asks. I don't know if it matters, but I did this. -It will ask if you want to be able to enter your Social Security number for identifying your account, and you dial #1 for Yes. Then you get automated access to your account.
Maybe some of you already knew this, but for me it was a great discovery because I didn't want to talk to someone to get my new CL amount. This way you can still check without waiting to talk to a CSR.

Does anyone know of a link to check on Citi Associated Bank apps?
I ask because when I call, it tells me to hold for a CSR after I enter in info. I'm sure that's because I had applied for another Citi card recently (I read on here that that happens if you apply for more than one).
I'd rather not talk to them on the phone, as I'm convinced they will pry more info out of me and use it to deny me as has happened with another issuer or two. It's been a week already and I'm getting antsy waiting so long, especially since I need to know if I got this so I can hurry up and do my BT onto my new AMEX card before my 30 days with them is up.

You should update the Chase contact - they have an automated credit application check at phone# 1-800-432-3117 then press # to check the status of the application.

why don't you hit edit on the quick summary and update it yourself?

Just to add a datapoint: I just applied for a card with CITI. My exp. was frozen, but they insisted on pulling that. After giving them the unlock code, they still could not pull for some reason. So I unfroze exp entirely and now my file comes up -empty- for them. So the guy said 'well we will just have to pull another service - which would you like TU or EQ?'. He was able to pull the report from the other agency then. So they still do pull other reports. Interestingly the guy did say the app now has to go to an analyst and he could not immediately approve it. Either way maybe the info is helpful. Give citi the wrong code a few times and ask them to pull another after it does not work, maybe....

Don't mistake my intent...I value your contributions to this thread, Eugene. But rather than being an armchair quarterback, perhaps point to a more appropriate place for thin's post.

All this happened while calling the 1-800 number to check for my application two or three times. I could also add that I called the status check line one more time since, and that my card was approved and that they were happy to reallocate credit from my premier pass card, possibly because I reached my credit exposure limit with them. But if you feel all this is off topic, let me know and I will delete the info to clean up your thread.
pre-approvals are bullshit. they always send me preapproval and then I apply and get the respond "sorry to inform you that not approved." why the hell you are sending pre-approvals. applying new cards decrease my credit score. i hate them

Updated Barclaycard: 866.408.4064 to speak directly with the credit dept. Can find application status, and also do CLI with a soft pull and few questions (no need to send tax returns).
on 9/28/2009 MrsJ paid off her $27500 credit line Bank Atlantic card issued by Barclays. on 9/29/2009 MrsJ closed her Bank Atlantic card issued by Barclays. on 9/29/2009 MrsJ applied for a new Bank Atlantic card issued by Barclays. DENIED (no hard inquiry) on 9/30/2009 MrsJ called 866-408-4064 for reconsideration of new Bank Atlantic card issued by Barclays.
on 9/30/2009 MrsJ approved 16 minutes later for $25000 (after line of business and income related questions).
