MMinjin posted this on a "dedicated" thread a few days ago, but I'm surprised it hasn't shown up in this one -- seems like an outstanding deal:
Date Posted: Jun/21/2005 12:38 AM Rating:
Integrity Bank
From the recent Sunday paper:
Special introductory offer 4% Interest APY on our Priviledged Savings Account. Hurry in to take advantage of this outstanding offer, rate guaranteed until 1/2/06. Minimum opening balance: $2500. See bank for details.
Other details: Must have active checking account (min balance $500) which has rate of 2.15% APY New money only Fees could reduce the earnings on the account Offer available to individuals only
I checked their website and they are FDIC-insured, but there's no phone number or obvious way to open an account online. I sent them an e-mail but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone know if the offer is only available to PA residents? Any other information to share? |

Just heard of Hudson United bank in NY, NJ, PA, CT. Offering 3.5%. I don't think its a promo rate, although it is for new money, rate is subject to change and must be opened by 7/8/05

I just took Meadows credit Union for their 4% rate guaranteed to the end of 2005. If something better comes along I will jump on that also.

I'm a newbie and I'm not sure if this belongs here. I'm just trying to let folks know about something that seems like a good deal, so be gentle.
The Ford Money Market Account is neither a money market mutual fund, nor a bank money market account. Ford Credit is changing the name of the Ford Money Market Account to Ford Interest Advantage. As far as I know it is NOT FDIC insured and NOT insured in any other way so there is some risk.
http://www.fordcredit.com/moneymarket/index.jhtml
They list the following rates:
For Week Beginning June 27, 2005
Amount Invested ............. Rate Yield <$14,999 ............. 3.64% 3.70% $15K-$49,999 ..... 3.79% 3.86% $50,000+ .............. 3.94% 4.01% |

Does seem like a great deal, but I'm not sure if it can be done online. They are based in Camp Hill, PA which is central PA near Harrisburg. Not to be confused with Integrity Bank of Alpharetta, GA. |

WAMU rates are always regional...depends on the state you live in.
YMMV |
