I don't have any Citi cards at all so this might be the time to apply. I thought I wasn't going to get any more new cards in 2005, oh well. My scores are high why not knock them down a few points.
Here is another 800#, 1-800-475-0617 (Hartford Courant) or visit www.applynow1.universalcard.com, by June 15, 2005
Earn 5% Cash Back on purchase for 3 months (You will be given further information when you call to apply). Then 5% eligible purchase. 1% other. 5% ATT produce and service
A challenging question: Have anyone found a method of turning this eligible 5% into REAL 5% (or 4%)?

I called to apply and was told 5% on all purchases for first 3 months, after 3 months, 5% on eligible purchases in supermarket, Drugstore, and gas stations, 1% everything else. The number I used is 800-475-0713.
Just applied online, but didn't get immediate approval. Same here.
Also, the ad says "New cardmembers only" - don't know exactly what this means. For example, if a person closed an AT&T card less than 1 year ago, would they still be eligible?

One has to apply for it, existing/closed accounts do not count.

I finally decided on Citi's cash'back card. It has 5% on supermarket, gas and pharmacy and 1% on everything everyday and not just 3 months. In fact, it really worked. This is the card, I am talking about is http://www.cards2apply.com
I just got my first cash'back check of $132. I had been using some crapy ame'x for 4 years that promised lofty "upto 5%" and I could never made to teir fine prints of "Upto". I have lost heavily of such useless cards. Swich over and earn cash.
Assuming you got the $132 from normal purchases and not just $2600 of gas/groceries, and assuming you did that in a year, that's $13200 you spent which would have netted you the same amount of reward with blue AMEX.
I figured out that if I spent $13k every year on things, I'd get the same with blue AMEX as citi, any more and I'd get 1.5% rewards instead of 1%. Of course, that doesn't take into account the 5% back on gas factor, but that's why I have both cards.
"To receive a AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card, you must have an annual income of at least $12000 and you must meet our credit qualification criteria for the AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card. Otherwise, you may receive a AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card, provided you meet our credit qualification criteria for the AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card. The AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card does not have as many benefits as the AT&T Universal Cash Rewards Card."
i don't make that much money a year (you must have an annual income of at least $12000) since i'm a student and i work part-time. If i apply for it i might not get those benefits?'
