So, I too got a Schwab Visa card, which I like but have stopped using, as I get better rewards with my Citi and Chase cards. However, I'm wondering: what qualifying Schwab brokerage charges exist to earn double points? I have a Schwab brokerage account, and I haven't found a single thing that I could pay for using a credit card, much less theirs. I also contacted support about this, and they didn't say anything useful. Has anyone figure this one out? Simply a gimmick? |

Thanks, OP! I've just cashed in two of the $150 GCs from the three CCs that I got approved (2 in May, 1 in June, so the 'deadline' of May 15 was not a problem in getting that 3d CC and the GC that showed up eventually). Second CC will never deliver a GC, probably because the CSRep was too busy telling me that he was "just helping out by taking apps, as he regularly did approvals" -- and he failed to key in the proper code. No GC on that sucker's CC. But two GCs is not bad. Thanks! Oh, I'm still expecting a $100GC from a FOURTH effort on this SchwabVisaCC gig. Wonder if I dare try for more! Oh, I'm unemployed with no income to speak of, but good credit rating apparently. Guiltyspark said: Get a $150 Visa card for signing up for a CC..... i wonder if anyone is getting instant approval anymore - if i didnt -- who does
For future appliers. This means possibly that you have more then one MBNA card and they want to verify you might want to close or move the line to another card. Thats what it was with my application. |
