Visa Gift card offer is not available to New York residents. I'm glad there is a good excuse for me not to jump onto this. |

I was a little concerned about applying as I have a couple large balances at 0% (deposted at ING) weighing down my credit score. Approved by phone for a decent 20K line. Not the largest I have but I don't intend to use it other than a couple purchases to get the gift card anyway. |

mnsweeps said:I just read this card also has the AMEX BVG program !! Thats cool !
Price Protection program from Visa®: If you find an item advertised at a price lower than what you paid within 60 days of the purchase, Visa will give you a refund of up to $500 per item. (Now you can shop without worrying about future sale prices.)Does this exclude internet pricing?
EDIT Price match only for print ads. No surprise there. No instant approval for me, either, and I've got great credit. MBNA doesn't currently charge a foreign currency transaction fee, but I've heard that they will soon start doing so. The CSR was less than clueful about that, though. |

- WorldPoints sucks - 0.8% return unless you charge $25,000, which comes to 1% Edit The application page says "Cash reward check values and required Points: $25/2,500; $50/5,000; $100/10,000; $150/15,000; $250/25,000 and $500/50,000." - different from the standard WorldPoints program - sure, nothing great anyway - MBNA also sucks for FWs - their police squadron watches you! Hope they lay off some after MBNA reported bad results - the only one in finance? - $150 are worth to apply for one more hollow card.
No annual fee for the card or our WorldPoints® Rewards program—a potential savings of as much as $60. (Think of it as a dinner on the house.) Wow! Some here have several months of free dinners but did not know about that
Who pulled the credit check? MBNA?

Thank you for submitting an application for a Charles Schwab Bank Visa® credit card. Your business is appreciated and careful consideration is being given to your request, but an instant decision cannot be provided at this time. If you are a Charles Schwab & Co. customer with access to schwab.com, you can log in and check the status of your credit card application through the Banking/Credit Card section. If you do not have access to schwab.com, you can check the status of your credit card application by calling 1-888-279-7538. Please give us 15 minutes to review your application before checking the status.
Just called in and they closed @9pm
Gotta wait till Monday I guess
Anyone have a number to check the status now? |

For those of you asking which bureau they pulled, it doesn't really mean anything. The CC issuer will pull different reports in different regions and for different customers.
MBNA does have virtual numbers, and probably the second best (next to citi) online system.
Also, I'd recommend applying during business hours for a better likelihood of getting approved instantly (although that means waiting until monday).
Oh, and another vote that worldpoints sucks. |

If you want instant decisions, its MUCH BETTER TO CALL IN than do internet app.
MBNA will usually immediately transfer you to an "account analyst" who will ask you some income/debt questions and determine your credit limit while on the phone. |
