didYOUsearch said:Seems this card has an EXTREMELY LOW APR FOR PURCHASES AND CASH ADVANCES!!! Especially for a rewards cardNew applications for MBNA Merrill + offer the same 7.65% (offered 5.9% till December 2004) and it has a better rewards program, but no $150 VISA GC just for acceptance. |

Has anyone confirmed that the monthly $2.50 fee is for the gift card and not the visa card? Wording does not specify but placement of sentences seems to indicate that the charges are for the gift card. Anyone called to ask? |

was thinking I will not apply, but bit it in the end. 150 bucks is too much to pass up. No instant decision; so might have to call in on Monday. Thanks OP!!

Its for GC. I have never heard a monthly fee for a CC. |

Applied online this afternoon 5:50pm, and didn't get instant approval. Then I called in and was approved. During the call, it is confirmed that no fee for the credit card and the 2.5$/month fee is for the GC.

Is the call really necessary? I mean, you will find out by mail within 30 days correct? |

make sure you have good enough credit to apply, dont waste an inqury on ur report on this.
the bank is MBNA, check what credit report agency they pull in your city/region.
I might have applied since $150 GC is a big incentive.. but I recently applied to two cards already.
there's plenty of inquries already.. and combined with 1 approved (1 still in limbo) I have enough open revolving credit line as is.. at least, for someone my age (22, 5-7 accounts)
the low APR rate for a rewards card, should be a dead give away that this is intended for those with excellent credit, or fits in their application profile.. certain range of income, and history will help.
I'm going to assume at least 750+ FICO scores with other positive factors. |

Why would one need a large credit line for this? $2K is more than sufficient. |

I have five and my wife has three. It may be best to transfer credit limit from existing accounts, IMO. |

I applied over the phone, no decision for me either.
Does anyone know if you can use Yodlee to grab the balances? |

Does anyone know if you can use Yodlee to grab the balances? The same thing to me. The rep said I need to wait for 30 days. If it is approved, I will receive a welcome package with the card. |

not to get off the topic, but does MBNA gold options LOC pull TU mostly? Thinking of getting that and transferring the CL to my new 2K fidelity (wouldn't offer me more because I have a 30K CL on Worldpoints) |

applied online, got the "wait 30 days" answer.
Tried calling, but they are closed until Monday. Guess we'll see, but I really hope I get in on this $150.
THanks OP!!! |
