Anyone know of a phone # on this one to call for approval like the $150 deal also posted? I got the "no immediate respose" page on this one.

I have an old card from FirstUSA/Bank One (same issuer as this Sony card), can I convert that card to Sony and also get $100 bonus? THX for any advice.

Probably not - YMMV - why not apply for a new card?

Remeber they offer these promos because enough people use the 0% BT offer to make it profitable on their end.

I applied. Thanks OP.

Because I did app'orama recently. Don't want 5 inquiries within a month to appear in credit report.

Thank You

Has anyone actually done this? I just tried calling 800-215-3049, and the CSR said the only bonus she had on record for the Sony card was 1,500 bonus points.

Yep, it works. There was the same deal a few months ago. Got $100 as promised. At that time I tried to convert my Amazon card (also issued by Bank One/Chase) into Sony card, but it didn't work out.

alert mods

Thanks OP. I can always use another $100.

I called the 1-888-215-3049 number. The representative said that all the application would go through some automatic system and they couldn't review your application until you got rejected.

Ps I applied Sun 5/1 just looked at my Chase account 5/4.

3% fee up to $75 for BTs

$100 gift card and 0% APR for 12 months is sweet.

Everyone...just make sure you factor something in here... If you do take a BT here, the $100 deal isn't quite as sweet. $100 for opening the account - $75 for the max BT fee (If you BT $2,500 or more - $2,500 * 3% = $75) leaves you with only $25. So if you don't do the BT, this deal is notably better that way. However, if you have a high interest rate that you're paying elsewhere, saving will be made there, but that's not the gist of this thread. You can get 0% on BTs at quite a few places.

I love these post on credit card deals, I apply for a new one every 6 months and cancelle one of my older cards right after. This helps me keep track of open accounts. So far I have had no problem being approved and most people on this board won't. Thanks for the offer

how long does it take to get approved usually w/ sony?
