Aight' guys here's the deal. Was hanging on the block with my crew when this uppity *** ***** strolls into our territory like it's nothin'. Well I couldn't let it go so we had to lay him out. Find out later that that he's someone important with connections in the russian mob. Now I need a cool million to get this settled or my head has a price on it. Tell me how to make some extra money yo'

I tried eBay for a whiles too, between the eBay listing fees, closing fees, paypals fees, there was almost no profit left. On top of that, had to deal with NPB, which was a hassle.

Now I am trying out to be a landlord, the only thing that I can do without giving up the day job.

aside from my status as a student, i work in the summertime and play online poker when i get the chance. an idea i always had was to work a graveyard shift somewhere, it seems like it would be an interesting job to have and the pay is pretty good.

gee I don't know.....
maybe stop spending so much time at FW.
and starting applying myself at more useful endeavors.

I was banned from posting because I was begging for coupons in every thread.
by the way, do you have any Staples coupons.

oooops.........now THIS is my last post.

I consider managing my credit card deals and balance transfers a part time job. I save $425 a month in HELOC interest, make $60 in interest and another $100 or so in rebates. But I do spend a lot of time managing juggling the payments for 10-15 accounts and $100K-$150K in balances, making sure everything is paid on time, looking for new deals etc. But I kind of enjoy it anyway, so why not.

I am a full time graduate student and work full time, and was thinking about getting some 0% CC deals and putting the money into ING and getting a couple hundred in interest a month, but figured having 50k or so in my ING account would have a negative impact on my possibility for studnet loans, thought the bad would outweigh the good ya know, so I opted to stay poor

work over time

make animal balloons on the street. i made a lot of money doing that (for charities).

deleted: tired of PMs asking me about it

Work part time as a DJ for a bar (1 night a week)
Getting back into selling my crap that I collected on E-Bay
Virus and Spyware removal computer "tuneups" etc

That reminds me. Any FatWalleter willing to do low fee web design work I need some help with my page.

*I have a van, so I help friends, family and friend's friends move for some extra cash on my days off.

*Mow lawns and wash people's cars. I live near a retirement community where the people are poor.

*half.com selling.

Outside of my day job, I do a number of things:

1) I used to be pretty hardcore on eBay. Sort of gave up after a while, but still dabble a little.
2) I have 3 websites, 1 of which is currently making about $75/month in advertising and $100/month in sales (the others make a few bucks/month, I just keep them for hobby).
3) I'm starting to get into the money-juggling game (ING, etc.) now that I'm finally starting to make more than I spend and have real money to play with.

How does one get started in e-commerce and websites that make money by advertising? What kind of sites do you run?

i'm a male ho

duece bigalow male gigalo

no but seriously, i'm a full time student and have a weekend rep job. Those pay pretty well compared to actually working in the store.

I just started e-bay w/2 of my friends. They've been selling bodykits for cars for a while, they just recruited me because they've become frustrated with all the e-mails and full time jobs on the side. We average about $2000 net profit per month.

Use to sell diablo 2 items as side money made 6,150 in a year not bad for some virtual items no shipping hassels involved.

I notice 1000's claiming they make $$$$ or a living from online poker.

I never saw one post saying "I lose my shirt every week playing online poker"

I think the Poker sites are hiring shills to post.

Work on the weekends, full time college student. To make extra money:

-half.com, selling text books (huge market out there). Last year, finished an environmental science class online, sold my book for $75 on half.com (barely used the thing). Then was looking at the scools local website for books for sale, and saw another student with the exact book for $25!!! I got in contact, we met up, I gave her the $25, and she handed me the book. Got home, listed it on hlaf.com, and had it sold in less than a week for $80!!! (they do take comission, but there is no listing fee, or time duration). My brother sold some old CDs on half.com, and brought in about $50-$70.

- Saw an aritcle in my universitie's paper about plasma donation. $20 (or $30 with flyer) for first time donation, but takes 3 hours (test and stuff to make sure you can donate). After that, $20 for each donation, and you can do it every week or so (maybe twice a week), and get $20, takes about 45 minutes for each donation after the initial one. Not bad at all, $20 for an hour of your time (pays more than my work job). Thinking about doing it, but VERY busy right now with mid-terms and projects coming up. Where to find 3 hours in my schedule, dunno.

- being cheap, cutting coupons, and finding good deals. Saving money in ING and ED, and one day find a 0% BT and put the money into ING (need to pay off my credit card to make my score nicer).

Buy FAR items from Staples and sell them on eBay.

**Sigh** I wish we had the days of Diablo II on eBay back, that was an insanely lucrative market.

Anyone has luck with stocking trading? daytrading/penny stock or anything like that?
I am thinking to spend more time looking into this.

I used to trade stocks in $1,000 thinking that I may make it little by little, but so far I've lost most of my money because 1K won't buy too many blue chips, so I kept buying penny stocks but they are all underwater now.

However, recently just learned from a co-worker about trading options, she also trades in 1K each time but the margin is much higher. Of course you can also lose everything in a month or two when the option expires, so be careful. I haven't had a chance to learn options yet...not to mention no money...

I don't really know about investing in stocks. I tried that a while back right when the bubble burst. With the downfall/bankruptcy of a bunch of large cap stocks, I pretty much lost about $20 grand - and I invested in big name stocks too.

On a lighter note, I made quite a bit back via eBay and $21 dollars from online poker. I don't know about those who claim to make a living off of online poker...

speaking of stocks, trading, etc...has anyone had any expereience in the forex market??

Let me guess, from the late night Optionetics informercials...STAY AWAY, you will just lose more of your money.

For the first post quoted above, STOCKING TRADING can indeed be quite profitable. Sell young girls (18-21 of course) used stockings and undergarments. They fetch BIG $$$.

I sold all my old books on Amazon. Amazon takes a big chunk out for fees, but I still managed about $500 a month until I sold them all.

    Mystery Shop

And I'm one of the GC refugees, so I have garage sales and sell my stockpile

I sell my body. $0.25 isn't much but it's all about volume.

When I was at a FEDEX distribution center yesterday,
I saw a notice posted for this thing called 'casual employment.'

You work 1-2 hrs a day, either 6:30am-8:30am or 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Pay is $10.83/hr. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Must apply on Jun 1st at 9am sharp, I believe. Can't be late.

Call your local Fedex distribution center if interested. Would
work great for folks who live near one.

Trust me, for every player that makes $1000 a month there's one that lost $1000 and more since the casinos take huge rakes lol.

Anyways there have been at least a couple interesting ideas posted that definitely do work, but it doesn't really work for everyone =p For example, DJing can be quite profitable and even quite easy-but only if there aren't already a bazillion other DJs where you are who are more talented than you =p If you live in a rather small city or whatnot, it's probably pretty easy for you to be one of the few people around who can DJ, so jobs shouldn't be too hard to come by. Still, it requires quite a bit of upkeep, since you have to keep buying all the latest stuff on vinyl and not fall behind or you'll be SOL =p

I suppose you could always be hella lame and just spin 80's pop music parties hahaha. Also, it helps to look the part, since not everyone can really sell themselves as a DJ.

I am amazed that anyone would gamble and consider it a money making enterprise. Maybe I'm just naieve but I always considered gambling a money losing vice.

I second the idea of selling unwanted books and DVDs on Amazon.com. It's much easier than eBay and I made some easy money doing that but part of it was dumb luck.

Another idea for more regular income is to teach test prep classes for Kaplan or Princeton Review. You can usually do this while still holding down a full time job. My wife has been doing this for years and she is now the teacher trainer at our local Kaplan.

Mods deleted my first post, cause I linked my site...

anyway, e-commerce is the way to go.
find a niche market with little competition.
I import candy and resell. Takes about 2 hrs a night.
much more enjoyable than my desk job...

eBay is good for selling some items.
I would love to sell custom car parts, but seems like there's a lot of competition.

I would say trading stocks are the easiest way to make side money, but make sure you do your research and have a solid plan first. Only act on the very best opportunities, and set limits.

I've started looking at real estate, and it seems to be a lot of hard work, large risk, for little return. But a better option than letting your money sit in the bank...

Poker isn't (completely) a game of chance. I'm no good at it, but I know people who consistently make money on the online sites taking money from beginners. It's much more skill than luck.

As Mikie says in the movie Rounders: "Why do you think the same five guys make it to the final table of the World Series of Poker EVERY YEAR? What, are they the luckiest guys in Las Vegas?"

That said, it's gotta be a tedious way to try to make a living. It's easier to just work!

I have been trading stocks for last 5 months. Not a very big players. But its a lot of work. Before I started trading, I read about trading and stocks for almost 8 months. And even now I have to be updated with all the news. I spend almost 2-3 hours a day reading and researching. And I am still under water

My woman is a bartender every other weekend. With that tax-free cash she never has to go into her bank account for spending money. I love how she pays for dinner all the time because shes got so many bills on her.

I am trading options now and doing ok so far. I don't have that much knowledge of all the different strategies so I stick with what I consider the basics.

I tend to buy deep in the money options that go out for several months. I have to put up more money but the time premium is less.
I then sell calls against my long options. Doing this I can make about 2-4% a month. I am basically using this strategy to sell covered calls.

brianmhall2, that cash in only tax free because your wife chooses to cheat the rest of us taxpayers. I know tax cheating goes on all the time, but it makes me angry when people brag about it.
