Just bumped my CL on my AMEX Blue from $6400 to $8000 with no hard pull on their website.

I just bumped my AMEX blue cash CL from 2000 to 3900. Typically how much time one should wait for another bump ? any time frames specific to AMEX ???
Thanks

In July '09, I got CLI from 10.5k to 13k, and DW got 10k to 12.5k through online CLI request, instantly approved. Both requested 15k, had been about 6 months since last CLI, had EX and TU frozen, and did not result in a new inq

isn't there a dreadful form that others have previously alluded to?

Here are the questions I had in my notes:

-Amount to Add to Credit Limit
-Reason for Increase
-Amount You Plan to Spend/Transfer
-Monthly Salary (before taxes)
-Additional Monthly Household Gross Monthly Income
-Source of Additional Income

I heard that having a higher limit is good for your credit score even if you're not planning on actually spending more because you're using a smaller %.

I guess I should wait till I'm employed before requesting an increase.

If you have Citibank, they give you an increase w/o a pull from time to time.

Got a $1000 CLI from Citi AMEX $3000-->$4000 via CLI button

I have 100K+ of CLs with Citi, but needed more in AMEX; was about to call into reallocation hell, clicked the link just in case - go figure...
Tried MCs - no go.

With all AAs going on and credit lines closed it shows once again that Citi's actions are random.

I just logged into my PenFed account and found a "Change Credit Limit" in the drop-down menu of my Platinum Rewards Card. I hadn't ever noticed this before and couldn't find any mention of it in this thread. The button takes you to a generic loan application page and it is difficult to tell if you are asking for an CLI or applying for a second card. I was hoping that someone with experience using this feature could explain how it worked for them and how they used the form to request a CLI. Thanks!
