Heads up for Citi. Clicked "Credit Line increase" and got form; clicked cancel. Citi took it upon themselves to do a hard pull not once, but twice. |

I did CLI for 4 of my Citi cards today. All 4 result in the form. I didn't even click the cancel but just navigated to another page. |

I have 4 too and just check occasionally to see if auto increases are there. For some reason, only the form cancelation on the Dividend card went through. |
I do the CLI every day just to see if I will get the form, and I've never received a hard pull from Citi... Well, except for when I applied for the Associated Bank card! |

Well, except for when I applied for the Associated Bank card! same here. I didn't even bother to scroll the page once I saw that dreadful form. I just click somewhere on the top to move to the next card. |
afeld said: I used the CLI button again, but was denied, I think I did it within the last 6 months, I'll have to wait and see what the 7-10 day letter says. Yup, got the letter, no CLI within 6 mo of the last one. I'm not sure when my last one was, since I don't use the card, my online statements aren't available to see when it was increased. I'll have to keep trying I guess! |

Well, except for when I applied for the Associated Bank card! Where is the cancel button? I've never clicked on it (don't know where it is), but I have navigated to that page several times (as in like, dozens) the past week or so trying to get the no-form CLI request. I should be okay, right? |
The last several times (spread over the past year) that I've gone to the CLI page, I get "the form." I think I've both navigated away and clicked cancel, and I've never gotten a hard pull. But after each time I visit the page, Citi sends me a letter describing why they won't give me a CLI based on an internal review. (The primary reason is my $17k 0% for life balance that I'm not paying down |

Well, except for when I applied for the Associated Bank card! Same here, I actually looked last time and didn't see it. My new Associated Bank's CLI screen looks different from my other Citi cards, though. (same site) I think there is an error on the site for some. |
When can you apply for a 1st cli with bank atlantic? |
Got the heads up from creditboards. If you log into your Penfed account and get a preapproved offer for a credit card. You can accept the offer and it gives you the option to add the approved credit line to an existing card. A member on there talked to a CR and confirmed there was no hard pull. The website isn't working properly so you can't use the "accept" link under the credit card picture; the next page doesn't work. You have to use the "view all offers" link under the customize picture and select credit card offers. |
Data point Asked USBank for CLI from 10,400 to 11,100, 10k in AOR. With the first payment, this increase took me below 89% utilization. Since it was a new card, and CLI within 30 days, they did not pull a hard. So far, it's my largest credit limit. |
gumkin said:Got the heads up from creditboards. Thanks for the heads up! I logged into my PenFed account and was also offered a new card or increasing the CL on my existing card with the CL offered ($10,400), so I opted for the increase in my existing CL. Went from $30,000 to $40,400. By the way, the CSRs over the phone do not see the pre-approved offers on their screens/computers so it's a web-only feature on your account and they can't do it over the phone. |
just did it for my citi dividend card online. Increase to 6.5k from 5k. No form. Thanks |
I have been clicking on the Citibank CLI request option and been seeing the form for years but I have yet to receive a single hard pull for it. |
I got three cards with Citi: I got forms on all of them. Decided to call it in and see if they would give me an increase on any of them. They gave me a 1.5k increase on the Professional card, and that's it, which is a joke. I may not spend much on any of these cards, but I've been with CitiBank for around four/five years now. |
