Has anyone gotten an online CLI with BoA with their Experian frozen? I am about to try this but my EX is frozen. Not sure if it will work. Maybe I should call them and give them the pin? |

Yes, just did it a few days ago with BoA and EX frozen. Worked fine and went from 13,800 to 15,000 CL. |

Went to my citi business card site (this still has the old citi interface for some reason). Clicked on the CLI request option and, for the first time ever, they granted me an free (no hard pull) 8k increase on my 29k CL business card. I was surprised since this card is half way through a 90% utilization promotional BT pull.
Strangely citi still refused to even offer an online CLI option for my daily driver professional card which gets heavy use (and monthly payoffs).
YMMV Just tried an online request for an additional 2000 on my measly 10000 CL for citibusiness card and got this: We have received your request for a credit line increase and have forwarded it to our Credit Department for review. You'll receive a letter from us within 7-10 business days. Anyone know if this means a hard inquiry for this request? |

Anyone know if this means a hard inquiry for this request? If you had to enter income information and submit a form, then it was a hard. Otherwise, if there was no form it was a soft. cardjuggler summary |

Had Discover increased beond 15K twice: from 13xxx to 16xxx; from 16xxx to 19xxx without hard pull or additional info. ~5years old acc. Truth be told, lately they don't budge (~2month), as well as the other account (below 10K) |

I know this is a dumb question... but reading a few of the pages I couldn't figure out.. How do you know if you get a hard pull or not. I just asked for CLI from AMEX and not sure if I got a hard pull or not. |

Be warned of Financial Reviews though if you ask for too much. (usually up to $24,999 without additional info needed) So, if you used the online form, there should be no hard pull. I don't know what will happen if you try it over the phone. |

So what exactly is a credit pull? Is it when they ask you for your income? or more than that? |

lowering limits Have we confirmed that online reallocation is gone for everyone? (It is for our family) Has anybody tried reallocating over the phone? I always thought that feature was one of the niftiest on the Am3x site. I'll be sad if it's gone forever.

Went from 25,500 to 35,000. Initially got the 5-7 business day wait... but checked back an hour later and new 35k limit was there. This is also with my EXP frozen and an 8500 balance on one credit card with HSBC. |

Most likely not. You might as well "spend" that same inquiry applying for a *new* card from Chase so that: 1) you can get some sort of an intro bonus 2) you can get a larger CL (than you'd get through CLI) and then consolidate the new card onto the existing one (bear in mind though that if you credit history is weak, the new card might temporarily lower your credit score by a little bit in addition to the hit from the inquiry) |

Does anyone know how easily Wells Fargo can go above 25k? What is the largest personal credit limit with them? I started with 2k in 2006, went to 7k and then to 22k by the phone. Jump from 7k to 22k was a bit of surprise since I only asked for 11k. They will allow requests every six month via regular CSR phone. This time I am thinking about shooting for 45k as they alway counter if too high. They have been the leader in my cc portfolio and others(esp. BofA) have followed. |

I just did the online form with BOA and went from 9900 to 17.5K in about 5 seconds. I had requested 20K, so I'm wondering if I can try this again in a few weeks. Does anyone know how long I should wait? Edit: I did it on my other BOA card, which I never use. Went from 500 to 1K. Yipee. The 17.5K already shows on my other account so I can't complain too much. |
