Sneaky Citibank. My guess is that they are slowly migrating money from the e-Savings to the UMA. The UMA is basically the old e-savings with stupid DD and billpay requirements. |

UMA doesn't require DD, just 2 billpays per month, right? "To receive the 5.00% rate, all you need to do is make at least two online bill payments each calendar month from your linked checking account in a qualifying relationship package." MilesHeighway said:Sneaky Citibank.

For those who had problems similar to mine, I got advice in a PM that worked like a charm. I don't know if the person who sent it wants to stay anonymous, but my great thanks because five minutes on the phone with Texas solved three months of grief dealing with Bangalore. I am going to move away from Citibank shortly just because they are more trouble than they're worth, and I'm tired of dealing with India call centers. --- 1-800-745-1534 It is their Texas call center. If you call during regular business hours you will not be routed to India. Make sure you go to the prompt that says you just opened a new account. |

coconutrobber said:Citibank E-Savings account is now down to 4.25% APY. cr*p, I just saw this post. oh well, I only keep a little bit there anyway, mostly for the Thank You Points. It's kind of a hassle for 9600 TY Points per year, but I figure they're worth more than the interest I'm losing. I wonder if Citi will drop the rate again. |
