Is my Driver's Edge Card still earning 5% CashBack? Or has the terms changed? Will the 9month promo period for 5% still be there after they increase the limit to $1000?
Thanks in advance.

I recently opened a Citibank Divident credit card account. On my first statement there is a line which says "Annual Fee 6/05-5/06" and the amount of the fee is zero. It took me to read Terms & Conditions once again to convince myself that the annual fee is zero not only for the first year. What I still don't understand, what was the point for Citibank to print that the annual fee is zero, if it's in fact zero! It's just confusing.

they are leaving the door open for a Change in term to the card for right now the card has no fee but in the future they could make a change. but dont freak out because the card has never had a fee and i dont see any changes coming. but if they do you can decline the C&T they send you ok.

As for limit increase, what are you based on? ie, income? or how often I use?

Another question: Do you have by a chance any info on how long 5% Cash Back for gas and grocery will last for Citi Dividend Card? I am asking because from what I know out of each transaction Visa/MC collects about 3% fee (and 97% is going to a seller). It's ok if 1% out of the 3% is going back to us as CashBack, but 5% CashBack looks unjustifiable, so it seems that some catch is coming sooner or later. Thank you!

the answer is just what you said, the big thing is how profitable is this person how offten do the use the acct, how do they pay the actt, how old is the acct, what is the persons credit like,
the best thing you can do if you do not want a hit on you credit is to call a c/s rep and ask them to see if you are qualify for a instant credit limit increase the only thing they need to do this is your annual house hold income. your best bet here is to lie make it big they dont check this stuff unless if they say no and ask you for the name of your employer and other "q" like this at this time they are going to pull your credit
Another question, if I use one time use CC number, how do I get a refund? Do I get to use one time use CC number again? Or is it being credited to the actual CC? Thank you very much for the info.

the 5% is not going anywere it is staying, its just one thing that brings people to citi. but yes there is a catch if you want to call it one you can only get a total of $300.00 Cash Back per calender year. and can only redeem back when Cash Back amount is at least over $50.00

what i think you are talking about is the "VAN" vertual acct # system that is offered with acct online. answer is yes you can get a refund any # of ways # 1 the # is never far away from you once it is billed to your cc the VAN is posted to your stmt #2 call the company and ask for a refund if they dont give it to you then just dispute the item with a c/s rep on the phone.
Is it true that Citi can only increase your credit limit every 6 month without a hard inq?
I have been using my card since feb/03 with basically no credit score. It's more than 2 years now and I still only have 3.5K. What gives?

back to the issue of credit limit increase your best bet for instant cli is every 6mo if you ask more than this you will fail it will come up on the screen as recent cli acct does not qualify
and o yeah i suck at spelling its not my best thing so if i spell some thing wrong dont tell me i dont care but citi credit cards i got this thing on lock i started my 1st acct with the company 06/03 with a 2,000 cl since then i have worked my credit line up to 32,200.00 and if any body thinks this is low think about what i do for a living i answer the damm phone.

So, would it be correct to summarize that the virtual credit card numbers once issued stay with a customer. Therefore refund can be requested either by virtual credit card number, which a seller has on record, or by providing to a seller the usual account number.

Are telephone reps required to make notes in the account of every conversation with customer? Are there any standard questions to be noted in the account after every call?

we do not have to note anything unless you ask us to or we preform some action that auto notes the acct with info

thanks for answering our questions...youve stated you got your Citi C up to $32k.... Ive had a card for over 10 years and cant seem to get much past $20k, though I dont ask for increases.
the online CL increase form always asks for income info (wont generate automatic increase) should I request manual increase?
What are some of the higher limits youve seen as a Citi rep?? I have limits close to $50k with other issuers but Citi has been stingy...
There are some coupons (ie, coupon for rental cars, etc) that come with statement every month. Is there a way to see what coupons are available in future?

You got one over on Citi. However, won't Citi at some point in the (near) future do an account review? Won't you then have to provide income verification (e.g., pay stubs and W2's). If your income isn't high enough to support your $32.2K CL, won't Citi then reduce it??

it is possible they can do this but they will have no need to do this as long as i keep my acct's in good standing by stay away from the 4 bad things you do not want to do with a credit card #1 dont pay late. #2 dont go over the cl. #3 dont have any returned payments from your bank. and #4 dont do any of the above with any other acct's that you own also. and they will have less chance to view my credit because i dont ask them to.

sorry i dont work on this card it is handeled by a diff dept than mine i do no that you better have out standing credit though.
I have a couple of suggestions regarding the monthly statement: 1) Add a column that denotes everyday transactions (5% reward), so we can easily know what transactions are being counted at the 5% level. 2) Add a calendar reward total so we know how close we are to the annual limit.

once you have the credit you dont have to show them prof again i you apply for credit and lie and the app 2 things could happen and 1 thing will happen. They could ask me for the verfy info that they need and i will just not reply and have the inq removed off my credit report like it never happen, by the way no one has ever asked me for verfy income info befor they just take my word and ooooooooooo yeah the 2nd thing that will happen if you lie on your app is if you ever file bankrupte you can not include this acct that you lied on because you lied about your income and you will have to pay them there money back

Hi citicardman,
I am a 19 year old freshman in college with no credit. I want to apply to the Citi Platinum Dividend for students as my first card. Will I qualify or do I need to start with that "crap" card with no benefits?
