That is the number I called. However, your call can be routed all over the world. If I call before 3pm Pacific, I get an American. If I call after 4pm pacific, I get India. If I call between 3-4, I can get either. In fact, just for fun, call around 3:30pm on a weekday. When someone answers, hang up. Hit redial 9 more times. You will get India about 8 times, America twice. Note that the Indians always adopt an American sounding nickname such as "Tom" or "Diane", so you have to go by the accent. I don't know if they don't have their computers up in India or what, but they just go by the plain-Jane offer of 5000 points (when I try to give them an "offer code", they are clueless). If you get a domestic call center, you won't have any trouble getting your $100 using code Z3R. Good luck. |

You have to actually apply for a new card to get this $100 right, you can't just change from another Chase card. At least that's what the CSR said when I called. |

Anyone have a scan of the $100 ad? Is it the same fine print as the $50 one on page 1? |

I disagree with your statement. 2 times I called and she was american lady and she was very adamant that No sir it was mistake, you will get only 50$ Cash Back.
Last night I called around 8 p.m and most probable he was Indian and he asked me the offer number and after that said you will get 10,000 point, which you can redeem for 100$ Cash Back or gift card. I went ahead and applied it.
I will say No logic apply here. It's trial and error. chuzzlewit said:return222 said:what number did you call? I actually was calling to cancel my card. They offered me the 5% 1% etc etc but no bonus point. I asked them but she said they never offer that anywhere anytime.

It is same except the code is Z3R and it says you get 10,000pts instead of 5,000 pts. Just keep calling, give the code, and ask them to read you the terms. WHen they get to the bonus pts, if they say 10,000 go for it, if they say 5,000 then say no thanks and hang up. Pretty simple, IMO.
Also they is a balance transfer fee. They will try to get you to transfer a balance "what balance may I transfer for you?" instead of "would you like to transfer any balances?".

My experience:
Called the number on back of my Perfect Card at around 9 PM Eastern. Got Indian-sounding "Cheryl" on the line.
Asked to convert to Cash Plus. She advised I would need to deactivate "Perfect" stuff, I said fine.
She said card would convert within three biz days.
I offered to give the promo code to get the $100 bonus clams, she said I had to call back after the card converts to apply any bonuses.
The only downside of this offer is that the rewards aren't automatic, I have to take a check. I wonder if they do direct deposit. Oh well, the benefits are wonderful.
Thanks all for the info... |

Wow, I can convert an existing unused Chase card and get the $100 bonus! That is great!! I've been carrying my Freedom card around for the past week meaning to call and see if I could convert it to something decent. This definitely qualifies!
Just called, the guy (who did not sound particularly Indian) put in to de-enroll me from the Freedom benefits, but said it was not going through and it would not let him enroll me in the Cash Plus Rewards, so I would have to call back in 3 days. Maybe when I call, they will let me give them the Z3R code at the same time.
Of course, I probably should have picked one of my unused First USA cards to convert. |

They would roll my old card to the 5% card but they won't give me any bonus. I was planning to cancel my chase card anyway. So I went ahead and cancel it. I will call Tuesday to see if they will give me the bonus with a new account. |

I'm sure they will give you the bonus if you call and apply for a new card, but that will take 2 weeks to arrive. This way in theory you can use the old card and get the benefits immediately. Others have done it, it may just be a matter of calling on the weekend and getting people who don't know how to handle it. |

Well I have been using other card for awhile with 5%. I am only interested to get a second card beside my discover card with rebate. I did call them and re-apply for a new card. Make sure you ask the rep to look for bonus code Z3R. |

Kind of new to this credit thing, I wanted to ask through, does this card allow a grace period where you don't have to pay interest if you pay the balance within like 20 days or a billing cycle or something? |

Yes, there is a grace period. A rebate card is of little value if you have to pay to use it. I think you will be hard pressed to find ANY card recommended here that does not make money for the user (which would obviously not be the case if you had to pay interest on all your purchases). |

I've applied for lots of credit cards, and it's never taken 2 weeks to get one. They always tell you to allow 30 days, then I usually get it in about 5 days. They can't wait for people to start racking up interest charges |

I just talked to a nice lady with Indian accent. No problem getting the $100 bonus. I just gave her the offer code, then she read the T&C back to me. So don't hang up on the Indian CSR unless you can't understand him/her.

This $100 bonus is the single most important msg that Chase wants people to know in their nationwide flyer. It's very hard for me to believe that it could be a typo. They may just change their mind after flyer went out. |

What number are you guys calling? I had my Chase perfect card switched over to this card and when I tried to call in to get the promotion they said it would be done automatically, but I would only get 1000 points instead of the 10000 points. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks. |

Anybody actually successfully converted an existing chase card to a cash plus card with $100 bonus? It looks like we can easily convert, but the $100 bouns is only for applying a new card, according to my calls. |

My statement just closed for the first time and I registered with choosemyrewards.com to get my $50 bonus, but when I look at the options it says that the $50 Cash Plus Rewards check is "Out of Stock". Has anybody gotten their check and is it common that the check option is Out of Stock? |

I called for my $50 bonus yesterday and was told the same thing. She said call back in about 2 weeks. I found it odd that they should be 'out' of checks. There seems to be a few issues lately with Chase to say the least. |

I just got a $50 dollar check yesterday. I normally redeem for $25 every month or two, and have never encountered any issue. |
