Applied September 26th, approved by credit analyst by phone September 27th, got the credit card about a week later, called about three times to check the status of the gift card and gave my new address each of the three times, Schwab sent the gift card on November 15th to the old address, finally found out after UPS' second delivery attempt, called UPS to change delivery to my new address on the 23rd, gift card was on the way to the local UPS hub on the 28th, gift card finally arrived at my house on the 29th at around 7:00 PM (did not know they deliver so late), took the gift card to my bank today and they tried to cash it out for me by running it as a cash advance but it did not work, I heard everyone say they had luck cashing out at a credit union so I was in a city about 45 miles away from home and decided to stop into a credit union there that I did not have an account at and they asked for my id and ran ran the gift card as a cash advance then handed me $100 in cash without charging me any fees. Checked the online gift card account area and it shows a $100 purchase from the credit union. I know merchants pay a 2% fee to VISA, so I am not sure if they get hit with a fee since it shows as a regular purchase. Overall a bit of drama, but I did come out $100 ahead.

I got my $100 gift card today. Made 1st purchase on 11/4. So it took just under a month.

Same here, made my first charge around 11/4 and received the $100 gift card yesterday.

I believe the deal is still on (do a search and you'll find the other Schwab thread). They must've been getting hit hard since the terms of the promotion have changed - now you must wait 180 days to be eligible for another gift card.

i got a 512mb ipod shuffle via UPS instead of a $100 gift card. did this happen to anyone else??? would have preferred $100, but not complaining. an ipod shuffle for free is still.... FREE
