The reward memebership has $40 per year. Is it necessary when applying the card?

If you have another card with Membership rewards, they reduce the fee to $10

Awesome. I needed to open a new business account name for another start-up. Thanks!

I already have a business cash rebate card, will it be a problem getting another. Also, as long as multiple purchaes equal = $100 , thats fine, right, i mean its not one $100 purchase, right.

FYI -- I dont really have a business setup, plans started but never took off, will that be a problem?

Quickest reply/help would be appreciated.

Thanks

1. Nopes shouldn't be a problem getting another.

2. Multiple purchases are fine.

3. Nopes no problem.

I don't think it's mandatory.

Thanks for the reply, actually I can't remember but I think I've applied for the AMEX Business Gold Card before, I don't know if I can sign up again.

Just got approved.
Made up a business name

so you spend $100 (-$100)
then get $100 (+$100)

total: -100 + 100= 0. So what's the deal here? Charles Schwab Visa's $100 for any purchase is better.

How they inform the approvement?
I also apply for this card, but get no information for 1 week passes.

I got a call from AMEX.

I guess the only loss here over the Schwab card is the rewards you would have received for using some other card for the initial $100 in purchase.

Correct formula is

-100 + 100= 0 + $ 100 in goods or services that you would have bought in any case.

No doubt Schwab is better but no one said you have to do either or. I say do as many as you want/can.

I got approved instantly, online.

Duh, you spend the $100 on something you were going to buy anyway, so you're really not out any money.

Which bureau's credit report did they pull?

bump

If you're running just a small company (1-2 people), what's the advantage of applying for a business card as oppose to just using your personal credit cards for business purposes.

Easier to keep track of.

I believe this is not a credit card, but a charge card. It has no limit on how much you charge as long as you pay it off before the end of the grace period.

This offer has been extended to Sept 30

Does anybody know what happens after 1-yr of free membership... can i convert to a non-annual fee card from AMEX?

Ummm... I'm sure I'm gonna hate myself later for this, but...

(Please don't flame me.)

uh... what do I put where it says "Legal Business Name" and is there any chance I could get in trouble... uh... somehow because of this?

You're a sole proprietorship, use any name you want. Yours works.
