This promo has been around a while. No expiration date on the promo page, like Sharebuilder usually has. Can anyone verify if this offer is still good?
Thanks

Thanks Not sure if that will qualify, might want to call or email Sharebuilder about it.

Thanks After I registered my new account, I got an email several hours later verifying I was qualified for the $50 promotion.

Did anyone receive their $50 bonus? Was there a min investment amount?

It may be tough to pull off, since accounts are usually linked to a unique SSN#.

According to the webpage: "Please note that a $50 credit will post to your ShareBuilder account approximately 4 weeks after the first transaction has executed." I don't know if there is a min investment; I just did a $50 one (with a $4 fee).

I placed a $5 trade order(=$1 stock + the $4 fee). I promptly transfered it to my checking account, it showed up on friday. So, yes, Sharebuilder does pay.
Last year was a good year for checking account and ING gimme's, so I'll give this one a whirl and see how it goes. Who knows? Maybe my wife and daughter both need accounts here too

Yeah! $50 credit came through on my account today, original transaction was 8/16/05, settled on 8/19/05. Transferring the $50 out. I bought $46 of stock with an original $50. Still waiting for my wife's bonus to come through, that transaction was 8/23/05. I bought the same stock with both accounts, that way when I decide to sell I can transfer all the stock to one account and effectively cut the selling fee in half.

Don't think you can "combine" an "individual" husband and "individual" wife account into 1.

I don't think you can "combine" accounts into one, but you can TRANSFER assets, i.e. stock, from one ShareBuilder account to another. The form referenced uses the term "Assets" not funds and suggests stocks are transferable. By transfering the assets, I hope to avoid at least one of the fees.
From ShareBuilder: To transfer funds from one ShareBuilder Account to another, you will need to send a Move Assets to Another ShareBuilder Account form. To transfer funds between two ShareBuilder Accounts it is not necessary for you to be an account holder on both accounts, however the form must be signed by all account holders (of the originating account) and must be notarized or have a Medallion Signature Guarantee, to authorize any transfer.
I believe this is over but try SHAREBUILD25 for a $25 opening bonus

to qualify, i would just open an account, buy a stock/mutual fund/etf/etc... hold it and wait until i get my 50 (if working, if not, then the 25) dollars?
I got my $50 the other day, don't think I registerd more than a month ago, bought like $4 worth of stock.
I really appreciate what sharebuilder did as well. Upon registering they sent an email stating I qualified for the promotion (IPLANGIFT), and then once I got the $50 they sent me another email stating I had received the bonus. Withdrew it to my bank account in about 1 day. If I was into dollar cost averaging I would definitely do more business with them, as that is very impressive. Their prices on regular trades suck, however.

I signed up using the IPLANGIFT code, today is 4 weeks since I had my first tranfer and no bonus yet. I did receive the emails saying I qualified. When does the bonus usually post?
Received my $50 bonus today. Time to do another one of these. One for me, one for my wife, and one for my grand daughter. There are a couple of new $30 deals out there but sure like doing the $50 ones a lot better. Any new $50 ones?
