0% APR for 6 months on purchases and balances transferred at the time of application (3%/$75 max BT fee waived). Earn 1 point for every $1 spent. 1000 points the first time you use your card.
The only good thing about it is instant decision. Their previous card, issued by Citi, wasn't that great either, but this one is much worse. I wonder if you will get free access to true FICO score with this card.
MyPoints are just good for joining and clicking the emails. These points accumulate pretty quickly if you have registered using multiple email addresses.

Having multiple accounts with them is a bad idea. If they catch you, they will wait until you have built up enough points to redeem the cheapest award and cancel all your accounts. My room-mate did this accidentally when he switched email addresses. Lost 3k points because of it.

Actually, the email I got from them said:
apply for the new MyPoints Rewards VisaŽ card and for a limited time earn 3,000 Points the first time you use the card within one year. Plus get DOUBLE Points with MyPoints Points-per-dollar merchants through 12/31/05**.
**Double Points promotion expires 12/31/05. Double Points will be awarded on the first of the month following the month in which Points are no longer pending. Limited to offers up to 6 Points per dollar and not in combination with other Double Point offers.
So presumably if I am going to guy stuff from one of their merchants anyway, I can use this card and get the 6 points per dollar too.

Apparently you do get free FICO score access with this card. Still, there are better Providian/WaMu cards out there.

I innocently had two accounts with MyPoints. I cashed out and both of my accounts were disabled. They did give me one account back but I lost all of the points in the other. I had done offers to get them. I will not have a MyPoints credit card. I know you can earn lots of points as I charge everything. But I don't want them to close my account for their subjective reasons. I prefer my other rewards cards. Hopes this help.
