Peter,

First of all, thank you very much for coming forward with this initiative. If more companies were willing to do this the customer satisfaction picture in our industry would be much brighter

Secondly, please add my voice for Interactive Brokers.

P.S. and congrats on your first success re: Emigrant direct!

Faster than I thought Emigrant Direct is now available on Yodlee.com. It will be available on all our other clients' sites within about 50 minutes from now (takes a while to replicate).

Thanks! This is excellent work you're doing here.

Now for my self-budgeted one query per day:

What's the process for adding accounts to OnCenter? From your previous comments, I got a couple hints. More specifically, I'm wondering how much help you get from financial and other websites setting up for online access. For instance, you said that Chase has asked you hold off on re-programming until their new architecture stabilizes. When that does happen, do they give any sort of guidance on how to make it work, or do you have to go in with a bit of a hacker mentality when writing scripts? Do you find that some institutions are more willing to help you than others when setting up access?

I've always found that understanding the process these things go through can help me understand what realistic expecations I should have as an end-user. I'm hoping the same will apply in this case. Any other insights into the general system would be great to have, as well.

All the below is true, of course. I'm guessing there isn't any doubt anymore regarding Peter's status.

winter said:tazzy531 said:Say for example, if people start private messaging him logins/passwords or other privileged information. Or if people PM'd citicardman their account numbers.

Again, I am not saying you are not who you say you are, but then again, there is nothing to prove that you are who you say you are. But Peter, you must understand that this protects Yodlee's customer and reputation.
I agree, even if he is who he says he is there is no reason to ever send either your Yodlee or individual account passwords. If he works for Yodlee (which I believe) then your username would be sufficient - they don't need your passwords as they already have them.

Another data point, the Yodlee problem case which I mentioned had not received a response since July earlier in this thread (CASE-0000234466) suddenly appears to have been revived as I received a new email regarding it overnight so either Peter is who he says he is or its a very big concidence. Thanks again Peter

just bc his name is on Yodlee website doesnt mean ITS HIM tahts posting here.

As others have stated, he should get in contact with Fatwallet to get the "Merhcant Representative" designation thats available to verified reps of companies

I agree. Some people might like seeing his name in context once they feel confident in his identity.

Peter,
Thank you for providing us an opportunity to write to someone at Yodlee. This service is great and I've been using it for years (since i first became aware of it via MyCiti).

One bug I've found:
I have 3 different credit cards with Juniper Bank. Instead of displaying the three different credit cards and the current balance on each card, I see the first card repeated 3 times. Removing and re-adding the juniper account yielded the same issue so I guess it has something to do with how you parse the juniper website data.
Instead of seeing
Card 1 Balance 1
Card 2 Balance 2
Card 3 Balance 3

I see
Card 1 Balance 1
Card 1 Balance 1
Card 1 Balance 1

Some suggested sites to add:
UFB Direct http://www.ufbdirect.com
Frontier Airlines (frequent flier miles) http://www.flyfrontier.com
Ebates http://www.Ebates.com
FatWallet CashBack http://www.fatwallet.com

Thanks,
-g

Hi, I am in contact with FW... and trying to figure out something that makes sense. Merchant Rep, doesn't quite cut it, since I don't want this to be a forum/place where Yodlee is "selling" stuff to consumers... just Q&A.

Either way, hopefully in a day or so, we can come up with something that works.

This is done. Please let me know if this is working for everyone.

Yodlee is GREAT!!! I've been using it since it came online and once it made it on the news. I was also using another aggregator, but their site wasn't all that great and so I went fulltime to Yodlee! Thanks for this great service! As was asked earlier, do you guys indeed still have that fraud insurance? Thanks!

Could you add a local Credit Union? www.pioneerfcu.org and their online bank access is at https://www.pioneerathome.org. Thanks!

It would be great if you can add Dell Financial Services (also known as Dell Preferred Account - DPA).
Thanks!

Ouch. We'll work on this right away. Juniper's a pretty big site for us, so relatively easy to prioritize a fix.

Hi,

There's tons of debate on this internally, and what we do is every time we get your data from a site, we get at least that market data that is accurate from them at the time of your information grabbing.

E.g., my prices only seem to update when I refresh the account. I would think knowing quantity and ticker should be enough?? Maybe you could "fall back" on data from the broker if the ticker isn't recognized. And show it with an asterisk or something.

On Yodlee.com you should be able to see market data in real time by clicking on the ticker in the Portfolio Manager. This data comes in real time, e.g., my "scraped" NAV for FMSFX is 11.17, but the "realtime" # is 11.18. Seems to be working ok, but maybe I misunderstand the question.

Ironically, we have had many consumers(mostly employees of brokerage institutions ) that say, don't offer realtime data, or intraday refreshing since it can confuse the "consumer" as to what are they saying. If you notice on most brokerages, they actually give you multiple ways of determining your price, depending on previous close, current market, end of day today etc.

We're looking at offering similar options in Yodlee, but also trying to be a bit "end of day" authoritative, so that we can send alerts like "your portfolio has moved 3% today", which would be hard if we did it "real time".

MarketVViz said:One minor irritation I've always had is that it treats paypal only as a payment service, but its also a bank account, with a balance that is invested in a money market. The balance is not reported in Yodlee or counted towards net worth (or maybe mine isn't setup right?)

We have an option "Paypal - Money Market Funds" can you try that. Should work for you.

Hi,

Thanks for adding Emigrant Direct so quickly. Mine is working perfectly.

Can you add:

Mellon investor services @ https://vault.melloninvestor.com/isd/Default.asp

this is for their Microsoft DRIP direct purchase

thanks!

1) cards from www.universalcard.com only show the first(default card).

2) Would it possible for you to add an option on yodlee.com to use any of the "old" interfaces since most people(at least here) seem to prefer the interface at http://my.compassweb.com instead of the bloated one currently on yodlee.com.

I have a variable life policy at Prudential. Is there anyway to get the cash balance pulled into my portfolio under "Investments"? This is not under the "Retirement" section of Prudential (which I can select) but under the "Life Insurance, Annuity, and Mutual Fund" at Prudential. (FYI, I use your service through BoA if that makes a difference). I added this under the "Other" section at BoA but no dollars show up - it just allows me to click there and access the Prudential site. It also seems you might be missing some other Prudential data since annuities and mutual funds all seem to roll up under what you categorize as "Prudential Insurance".

Any ETA on this? This is something I would love, though it is also something that would eventually cause me to go insane. =)

2 bugs I noticed:

1. Scottrade -- Scottrade seems to be pulling down the total account value and the total amount sold on margin correctly, but it isn't pulling down the amount I have stashed in my Scottrade account as free cash. Not a big deal, to be sure, but something to note.

2. Longleaf Partners -- I figure I'm probably one of ten people who actually cares about this, but it might be worth a mention anyways. Although my account balances are updated correctly, the ticker symbols for my funds have been replaced with what appears to be the first 4 of my account number within each fund with an appended X. Also, auto-login doesn't ever kick me over to their site. Still though, I'm amazed that you guys even support LLP.

Edit -- Now that I look at the LLP website, it appears that the ticker symbols for the funds don't even appear. I'm thinking that the first 4 digits of the account number might correspond with the particular fund in which the account resides, but without multiple accounts available to test, there isn't an easy way to tell. Oh well. =)

And hey -- If it'd help, sign me up for friends of yodlee as well.

First of all, I LOVE Yodlee and I can't imagine my life without it. I use it every day.

Now the request, please add the support for Kohl's Charge Card. Kohl's is a pretty big chain of stores, and supporting it should be quite easy.

My question is how does Yodlee work exactly? Does it work by parsing site output or more of a Web Services kinda thing? Is there some kind of an automated approach or does each site need to be customized completely? I'm curious, especially since I'm the developer of an app (in Perl/Tk using LWP to access http) that does similar parsing and I am convinced that "plugins" of a sort are the best way to deal with it.

Thank you.
