notlarry said:I applied for the 20K deal back in June, and have received 5 additional 20K offers in the mail since then. After the original 20K posted to my United account, I called the application phone # on one of the new ones & asked if I could apply for a 2nd one. I was told you could only have 1 at a time.
I'm in the process of moving my CL to another card & closing out the 1st United card so I can apply for the 2nd. I will post an update once there is news to share.Applied for 2nd card in early September, after verifying original was closed (even though I still see it online). Got it on Monday! I am a little afraid, though, because it says "If your account is not open for at least 6 months, United and Chase reserve the right to deduct the bonus miles from your Mileage Plus Program account." Never noticed this until after I got the 2nd card. Hope they don't remove the 20K they gave me ... has anyone ever had miles removed once they were credited to your FF account? |

Most likely, they will charge for the redeemed miles per the rate...
BTW, I got my card per the online system. The physical card still in the mail.
I wish it had come earlier, I just bought stuff worth of $2K on other card which gives me half the miles. Any way to get the double miles by somehow having the charges to the new card?
Please help.
Should I call the companies who charged me to cancel earlier charge and use the new card to charge again? |

Be careful.....the 20,000 mile offer on the UNITED website makes no mention of a "fee-free for the first year" deal......
Thanks OP...I'm in thru YOUR link
Cheers! |

Hi, I was told by a friend that adding another person on the card and requesting another card gets me 2500 miles. Has anyone checked that? Please inform. Thx in advance, |

Thx in advance,This is definetly true for the AMEX Delta SkyMiles card -- I've done it each time I've gotten that card. I have not heard of this for the United card. Has anyone else heard this? |

Call them up, and have a chat. If need be, speak to a supervisor.
Say that you were promised fee free... they'll take it away.
I've had very little luck doing fee-free BT's with chase, but much luck in getting the fees taken away after the fact. |

Hi Guys,
I just cancelled my first United milage card 2 weeks back after one free year.
Can I apply for the new one right away or should I wait for long (3 months)?
Thanks |

How do you "pool" these miles together, isnt 20k on each card.
Do you use the exact same name and just get 4 cars a year? |
