Apply by 3 Oct, get 15,000 miles when applying for the Signature Visa, or 10,000 when applying for the Platinum Card. Get another authorized user and add another 2,500 miles. Annual fee waived for the first year.
US Bank is the issuer. I had the Signature card for a few years but got rid of it and got a card that pays ME to use it instead (thanks FW Finance). I always had great experiences with their customer service - always knowledgeable and friendly, and answered the phone FAST. Always either directly connected with a rep or waited < 1 minute.
1 mile/$1 spent, double miles on ticket purchases from NW - cap at $50,000 for Platinum, $80,000 for Signature per year. After you spend that much, you earn miles at 1 mile/$2 spent. If you are a NW Elite (Silver, Gold, or Plat) or use AutoPay to pay off the card each month in full the maximum mileage limits do not apply to you $90/year for Signature card, $55/year for Platinum Signature - no preset limit, revolving limit depends on credit Platinum - credit limit up to $10,000 Read more details here.
This is the first time I have ever heard of an offer for the fee for this card waived for the first year - great deal!
Downgrade options - I'll assume that you'll start with the Signature card. Can downgrade to platinum, still $55/year. They may also offer the Classic card, which is fee-free, but only earns miles at 1 mile/$2 spent.
