when i've registered for AMEX promotions i didn't receive, i've never gotten the offer... just warning you to print stuff & probably have to call and haggle.
Not working for Gold Delta Skymiles CC (Personal):
Sorry. We are unable to enroll you at this time. Please verify you are using your personal Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card and try again later, or call the number on the back of your Card for assistance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS ... Cardmembers who earn Always Double Miles® will continue to earn only double miles for eligible purchases ...
So it looks like if your card benefits have Always Double Miles for some purchases then this offer won't work for you.

Call them. Double miles promo is for all personal card holders. The T&C you quoted simply means you shouldn't expect quadruple miles for "always double".

Unless you receive it by email, or it appears as a general promotion, YMMV.

Just a reminder for those whose anniversary is coming up, when annual Gold fee will be charged, one option is to downgrade to the no fee card after the promotion and get a prorated rebate of the fee when you cancel. Not sure if the double miles is worth the prorated fee but something to consider.
BTW, is Delta raising their miles redemption. I haven't seen it posted anywhere.

The only changes I can find are at: http://www.Delta.com/skymiles/about_skymiles/skymiles_program_updates
Doesn't look like a major change to me.

Thanks for the update link....yes that's strange that the word here and on flyertalk is that the mileage redemption is going up in January, yet nothing on the skymiles site nor when you speak to the skymiles booking agent.
Husband and I have about 42,000 miles each, debating whether to continue earning skymiles or just cash out before the increase. Sometimes when there is "talk", it's probably in the pipelines.

Devaluing miles would be an extraordinarily bone-headed move when the company is already in Chapter 11. Delta needs every customer it can get.

This is how good the promotions were and I'm still missing a bunch of miles from the double miles promotion this summer:
Husband spent $8276, earned 42,909 (minus 7797 flown) = 35112, 4.24 miles earned per dollar spent
I spent $8653, earned 41,544 (minus 7797 flown) = 33,747, 3.9 miles per dollar
35000 = RT mainland ticket from Hawaii ~ $500 = .014c/mi x (roughly) 4 mi/$ = .056c/$ = 5.6% reward!!

I would cash out. The 250,000 redemption for Sky Choice Europe is the first step towards devaluation. They will keep increasing award values and make it more difficult to redeem awards. You can pretty much get 50,000+ miles by just signing up for credit cards and with offers such as 100k miles offer from the DeltaAMEX Business card, transfer bonuses from MR points and Double miles on everything you can be sure that devaluation is on the cards.
I recently redeemed 180,000 miles for a Virgin UC ticket and few of these miles are flown miles. So once you have enough for a decent award burn those miles. There was a time when I used to value miles at about 1.2 - 1.5 cents each but in today's scenario I'd day they are nor worth much more than 1 cent if that.

Do you have a link to the 100K miles offer from DeltaAMEX Business card? I recently got only a 10K bonus mile offer + $100 Cash Back (5% on all purchases through January 31, 2006).

After reading the flyer talk thread, I'm quite convinced it is targeted. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them don't get their bonus miles even when CSRs were able to confirm the offer. I think AMEX is a lot more "together" than MBNA and makes careful determinations before awarding the bonus miles as to who qualifies.

Well I've always gotten my points/miles from AMEX. Sometimes they don't post automatically and I've had to call them to fix it but in the end I've gotten them.

Not my experience, maybe it was confused by the fact that I applied thru a FatCash link and applied for a specific bonus. But even after I was assured that I would get the bonuses (months after the initial application) I didn't. When I called back, they said that it wasn't offered to me.

Oh well guess I've been lucky . The last time I had a problem I called in and they said they would open an investigation. Some one from AMEX called me the next morning and said they've spoken to Delta and that the miles would post within 48 or 72 hours or something like that. I logged into my account and the miles were there already!
