Thanks, that's a big one. I added it to the quick summarty.
Does any one have any ideas how to (somewhat) objectively rate or rank the sites so that we can weed some out? Also, does anyone think it would be beneficial to split this up into categories also? |

That one's been around for awhile. The author has claimed to have earned $100,000+ in total blog revenue since he started PFBlog. |

Its tough to objectively rate or rank because it might be too subjective. Maybe we can at least add the age/birth date of the blog. In general, if the blog has been around for at least a few years, its probably a worthwhile blog to visit.

I like this site...it is relatively new but the thinking and reasoning matches mine. Murkywaters research |

C'mon, this just seems like personal spamming. I want finance, not the humdrum of everyday life. |

Thanks for the mention, mrmakochan. I do my best to post good information every day, but it's a lot of work. Thanks, too, for pointing out The Simple Dollar. I'd stumbled across the site once or twice before, but never paid much attention until now. It's great!

KnickFanRA said:C'mon, this just seems like personal spamming. I want finance, not the humdrum of everyday life. I agree. I followed some of the blogs listed here for a while, but I just got bored. The discussions are overly simple for the FW type, and once you read one post on cooking more meals at home, you've read them all.
I can't remember one topic that I have read about that has not been discussed before on FW.
No offense to the bloggers that are reading this, but it seems like your focus is a typical american, and not a FW junkie. Which, is a smart choice, b/c if you blogged about FW topics, you would get about 3 readers, and 2 of them would post a link to come here.
However, with that said, y'all are doing a good job of bringing personal finance to the masses and picking out the topics that will resound with non-FW types. |

Rivler, I could not agree with you more.
But at the same time, the thing I find great about these sites is the continual reminder of simple things that you can do, sometimes the humorous way they present the information, and most importantly, the once in awhile little tip that I didn't think of or read about before.

Yet another shameless plug for yet another blog: www.stingystudents.blogspot.com
I don't think I've found a good mix of the content I'm trying to achieve. I want to include some of the especially good deals I pick up from FWF and SD, but I also want to write actual articles. I guess I'm trying to decide on the main theme since it seems rather unfocused right now. Any recommendations or comments, please PM or leave on the site, thanks! |

I have a blog for my high school economics class. It includes mini-articles or entries by students and they incorporate economics into their articles. I think it is interesting to know what "the future" is thinking in terms of economics. I know this isn't exactly finance but I thought it would be a nice complement to all the straightforward finance blogs.
