Similar to the best no-fee balance transfer deal thread. However since no-fee 0% deals are getting less common a thread with fees should be started. So this thread should have 0% BT deals with or with out fees, however the deal must have a maximum fee. For example, 3% $10 min. $75 max. Many issuers are now offering 3% no max fee, which kills the deal for most FWters.

MBNA still offers the Motley Fool card with a no-fee BT for BTs requested during the application process. Downside is that the promotional rate is only good for 6-months.
Bank of America also offers a 6-month no-fee BT on most of their new credit card applications.
First National Bank of Omaha offers a 12-month 0% BT offer. No fees on BTs during the application process -- not sure whether BT fees are assessed for others processed during the promotional period.
Also note that Discover will allow additional no-fee BTs during the first 3 months of the promotional period.
It is worth mentioning that Citibank Premier Pass card has a BT for 12 month from the date of the first transfer which can be used any time within the first 12 month.

Same is available on the Citi Simplicity.
Good use for this is to stagger your 0% BT offers so that at least one of them will extend longer than the rest if you're applying for more than one card at a time.

I know some people can't take advantage of this, but I just opened a USAA Platinum Cash rewards card. It's a 0% BT for 15 months from the time you open the account with no BT fees. They also seem very generous with their CL. I only have a few cards and my high limit was $9000 (Discover 0% for life), and they approved me over the phone for 18k.
It's also 0% for 15 months on purchases made through Jan '06
Even better: Citi's Simplicity Rewards gives you 0% 12 months no-fee, *AND* a $100 gift card. Are there other's like this? I seem to recall Chase had a similar offer.
Edit: Thread discussing Citi Simplicity Rewards (0%, 12 months, no-fee, $100 gift card) offer: link
Thread discussing Chase's offer (0%, 12 months, $100 bonus reward, 3% transfer fee max $75): link (offer extended to at least Nov 30 2005)
The above link let you check if are pre-approve for any special online credit card offers.

All my MBNA cards carry a 3% BT fee (max $50). I think it's pretty universal.

Is there any difference between a personal credit card and a business credit card? do you have to run a business in order to apply for a business card?

RBS Platinum MC 0% APR on purch and BT for first 10 billing cycles. BT fee min $5 max $60. They gave me 5k CL, which I considered quite generous compared to eg Citi with CL $0.5k.
Well... most of mine had 3% with no max ::: BUT! They let me transfer CL from old card to the one I was opening without having to close the first, and get a decent BT for advertised 3%.

Unless you only ended up with a $2500 total CL, it would have been better to apply for a new card with a $75 max (or the Motley Fool, which waives BT fees on those requested with the application) and reallocating balances to that one before requesting a BT.
Edit: My apologies for the off-topic post. No more thread drift from me.

True... I can only say. Hey! - there is always tomorrow. I'll need to renew BT one day. My excuse is that I got a mailer with offer, which I thought gives me better chances for the new CC, and I was desparate to jump from 9% HELOC asap and (almost) anywhere.
BTW - how does BT transfer work if you do not know your new CL? If you call appl ctr - they wouldn't know new CL. Can you specify you want BT, say, 500$ less than your new CL?

Did anyone apply for the fool card ?
I try applying over the phone, the csr told me 3% BT fee ! I keep telling the CSR on the website it states "Transaction fees are waived on transfers requested with your application." Still no go ! Try with 3 csr !
Maybe it just bad luck, need to retry later or tomorrow.
Anyone have any input or experience on this matter ?

Any reason why you don't want to use the online application? Call them up the day after you apply online to inquire re: your application and they'll forward you through to a credit analyst if that's who you're looking to speak to.
Applying over the phone you're just talking to people reading off of a script...not a credit analyst that knows what's going on and can make decisions one way or another.

My browser displays the application form incorrectly, thus I apply over the phone, rather than online. Finally got a CSR to agree with me, she said she is the "Manager" and I got a decision over the phone for 15K in Balance Transfer. Although I wanted a deposit in my checking account at first, but was told 3% and $75 Max apply to ACH or cash advance check.
Anyone have any recommendations on which card/offer would be the best to apply for? I have about $9k of balance I'd like to be able to transfer, so getting a CL equal or above that is one of my main concerns. 12 months of 0% would be preferable as well. Anyone care to offer any insight as to who might be the best to apply with in getting the CL I need? Thanks.

Applied online and was approved instantly with over a 10K CL. This is my first experience with Citi, I like them so far...
*0% APR for 12 months from the date the account is opened applies to Balance Transfers made using your GE Money Platinum MasterCard. Balance Transfers must be posted to your Account within 12 months from date the account is opened to qualify for this offer. A Transaction Fee for each Balance Transfer that posts to your Account will be charged equal to the greater of $5.00 or 3% of the amount of the Balance Transfer, but no more than $75.00.
No rewards program with this card and the other GE Money cards with rewards don't offer BT unless you get a targeted offer at home (at least I did a few months ago)
