Can anyone comment? Should we update the quick summary?I have 4 personal and 1 biz, none of which are co-branded. I have never seen anyone reporting more than 5 personal. I'd update q.s. with "3 to 5, YMMV" or something.. |

Copy & paste from my Citicards 'account summary' page:
You have 4 accounts assigned to this user ID They would be Driver's Edge x 2, Dividend, Professional. My wife has 6 if you count Citgo Visa and AT&T Universal x 2. Not to mention we have 3 Citibusiness cards. I've also heard that you can only get 2 Citi cards in some time period which is also bunk. I don't know how these myths take hold. |

Added to quick summary: 1 Discover biz card/business. I've had the Discover business card for about 1.5 years, and tried to apply for the Discover Business Miles card. Was denied for the reason: "We already opened a Discover Business Card Account in your business name; therefore, your application has been canceled." Has anyone been successful in getting more than one Discover Business card, perhaps by using a different business name or TIN? |

If you apply within a few weeks, or at the same time, for more than one cc, do they pull separate credit for each ap? scripta said:larryc said:According to the quick summary, you can only have 3 Citi cards, but according to people on this thread, that's a myth.

The rep first said I had to close the first Disc Bus then reapply ... though eventually he closed it instead. A different rep told me later that the first rep was wrong and the old card could have been left open ... but I didn't have any reason to keep the first so decided not to bother trying to re-open. |

Had RBS + RBS Kroger; applied for new RBS plus People’s United Bank (which is RBS). Both were declined. Was able to close the first RBS and get the People's ... though took lots of back and forth and the credit analyst was not at all happy with all of my cards. Had 2 WAMU; applied for ESPN (WAMU): declined. 2 cards max. Could cancel and reapply (from scratch); no guarantee. I cancelled but haven't had time to reapply. (Plus I did a big AOR so not likely anyway.) |

I called to request a CLI for my RBS Kroger 1-2-3 rewards card. Rep said the system automatically grants increases from time to time but if I were requesting one specifically, a hard inquiry is done at EQUIFX. I went ahead with the request as EQ is 'bumpable' woohoooooo! an extra $5,500 updates QS with this info... edit: I called in immediately following the increase to ask whether I could request a line higher than $12,000 using the same credit report... was told yes. I mentioned tranferring a balance and needed $20,000 in total. rep put me on hold and then voila! $20K!!! |

I love online correspondence... as part of my AOR2.0, I inquired to Wells Fargo regarding the option of having 2 or more accountsDear Jackcrawfish:
You usually can have only one Wells Fargo credit card account with you as the only cardholder.
You can close you account one day and submit an application the next day.I updated the QS |

Can anyone comment? Should we update the quick summary? You can have as many CitiCards as long as your Credit limit (maximum credit they can offer you depending on your household income etc) with Citi is not reached. |

In another thread, MikeR397 asked about Compass Bank. As far as I can tell from my CC statements, they issue their own card -- or at least don't use any known issuer. It's a phone app, usually with someone friendly. Typical CL $10-12K. But, it's really designed for people who already have a bank account there, so they may or may not approve outsiders. (I've seen both.) The Business card has a restricted area, though would be interesting to try after getting a bank account. |

New issuer for AORs: TD Bank, 0% purchases and BT for 6 months; $75 capped fee. Only worth applying for business or personal, not both. (Was approved for $10K personal, got letter in mail, they saw the bus app and wanted to know how to allocate the 10K across the 2 cards. Haven't actually received the Bus card yet so there may be more to the story.) http://bank.TDBank.com/personal_banking/personal_credit.cfm |

I was wondering if anyone was successful in converting a ANB (Associated National Bank) College card to a Citi card. I know ANB was bought out by Citi a while ago. |
