I just filled in an application for a new HSBC direct account and it is pending now. I decided to fund with my Emigrant account, used 226070319 routing number, but on the drop down, i selected "savings account". Was this correct or should I have selected checking?
I ask because Emigrant recognizes my ING account as a checking account even though its clearly a savings account.

Approximately 45 days, but you lose it if you close the account within 6 months. |

i tried funding my application with ING Direct, but the routing number wouldnt work, so i called customer service for HSBC and they said that ING Direct blacked out HSBC from using their routing number for ACH or something. Guess ill have to use an intermediate account. Hope I get my $25. |

I guess money is leaving ING to going to HSBC. |

Old question: Anyone here opened this account that is not a permanent resident (green card holder) OR US Citizen? Alternatively: any non-resident aliens (not little green men from Mars ) open this account? Thanks |

I have a green card. I was able to open account without a problem. I also have a Ca DL. Just answered some question about stuff on my credit report. Never had to mail anything in or sign anything. |
