The only GUARANTEED credit card you will get is a secured. I started with a $300 secured card right when I turned 18. Three months later I started getting pre-approved offers. I responded to one of these offers and was approved with a $3k limit. The card wasn't glamorous and didn't come with any perks.

I asked the manager if it would affect me if I applied for another card, like the apple credit account or target card. She said it might. I really want an apple credit account and a Target card, what do you think? She said she would wait at least a week to apply for another one.

You applied in person? I'm surprised that they couldn't tell you on the spot if you were approved.

If you didn't get an immediate answer then chances are you weren't approved.

Searching is fun

Do you do defense work dYs?

are you actually going to do that? I make like less than a thousand dollars.

Nah. The way it works, if you report someone for tax evasion, you pretty much are certain to get audited as a consequence. Plus the IRS is notoriously slow to pay out. My taxes are clean, but the time the IRS would soak up with their paperwork and interviews would not be compensated and I don't have that kind of time to spare.

But there are folks on FW who seem willing to spend inordinate amounts of time chasing after past due $20 rebates.

which is why its time for you, OP, to open appropriate business accounts and handle this half million dollar a year business LIKE a real business. You will then be able to sit down with your banker and get appropriate credit lines for your business.

Unknown: nah I dont have experience in tax defense, and the only criminal defense Ive ever done is my own at least I can report a 100% success rate

As OP changes the city in his profile from Fresno to Clovis ...

Edit: And his post linking to his eBay feedback history disappears ...

I didnt even know anyone in Fresno/Clovis KNEW how to sell half a million a year, let alone someone in high school. OP you're a mover and shaker, time to relocate to SF or LA.

i do have some property in the area if OP needs a place to hideout from Da Man.

didYOUsearch said:NOT a unique situation, how to start /build credit is the most common question #4 in the sticky

http://www.fatwallet.com/t/52/457977/

and asking what applying for cards or credit accounts will do is most common question #2

and asking whats the BEST card (assuming you dont have problems getting cards due to limited credit history) is most common question #10!

the sticky couldnt be any more on point to your situation and questions. read the relevant comments and linked threads

Both will do a hard pull and with no credit history, you won't get approved. Start with a student card or pre-approved app.

So glad I didn't have the filter enabled... I would've missed this thread

unique HOW?

alert mods

unique in that someone who just turned 18 expects to get a $40k + credit line to charge their monthly business purchases, yet has not properly documented their business activity, and has no credit history.

any good rewards CCs for someone with THAT situation?

The answer is no.

I believe the old saying goes something like this: A lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client.

Quoted for posterity:

philipcolett said:Ok, here it goes. I will turn 18 on Saturday, and I am looking for the best card I can get. (OBVIOUSLY!) I buy about $40,000+ every month for eBay resale. I currently have the paypal debit card with 1.5% Cash Back, and the BOFA Alaska Airlines debit, which is ok, but is 2 dollars for 1 point. I dont care about interest rates, since I will be paying it off immediatly. I dont want travel rewards or items, just Cash Back. The thing I am worried about is not having any credit, and applying for too many cards.

If I apply for alot of cards, will it hurt me? How about credit accounts?

I am looking at the target card and Circuit City card, since I spend a majority of my money there. Is it best to use the two cards for the two stores or just use one credit card for all of them?

I have a checking, savings, prima account at BOFA, and I was told that would help me a bit. I dont want student checking because there are no rewards. Please let me know what suggestions you might have, I am lost. THANK YOU!

What will my score be when I turn 18, if anything?

YES, I have looked through ALL the stickies, however I found nothing that pertains to me.
