Like all other customer services, credit bureaus have been forcing to use their online/postal services for disputing information. Well, in process of successfully disputing a collection account from report; I have been able to get hold of phone numbers of three bureaus to talk directly to a representative.
Also Experian has a service to get ur report free anytime without limit. Well, it was intended for checking ur report before disputing information. It gives a full report.

Two of the best sites for credit talk are ArtofCredit.com as well this site. Many of the folks from the second site have moved onto AOC for one reason or another. I always suggest you KNOW YOUR RIGHTS in regard to your credit, as it has become more important than just about anything these days. You literally can't rent an apartment or buy a car without someone wanting to know your credit score. Educate yourself.

Another relevant site, particularly for people looking into credit repair or FICO score maximizing, is www.creditboards.com.

Try posting here first. Father has same name differs only by suffix. Father went to employer Credit union and obtained a credit report (he says by name only, no SS) and many of my accounts were on there.
First, I am not surprised that some of my accounts would be on his report due to the name situation. Now assume that my accounts are not actually on his report by SS#. My concern is that he received my account information by giving his name only.
Is this common, being able to receive a credit report based on last name only?
Secondly, why is it that the only loan that I really get scared by with something like this is FEDERAL STUDENT LOANS as my account number is my SS#, which only adds to the identity theft problem of america.

http://www.experian.com/reportaccess is the best way to get your Experian report. Very quick and easy and gives the full report.
I have second that recommendation of creditboard.com. Helped me raise my Equifax FICO by +123 points, my Experian FICO by 121 points and my TransUnion FICO by +189 points! The best site for credit repair IMHO.
It didn't work for me. Has anyone had it not work when they've actually gotten an Experian report recently (such as through Experian or your free annual credit report)?
Google for "privacy matters". See the sponsored links and pick the one with 1 month free trial. Also, if you call them to cancel you might get lucky to get an entire year for the cost of 1 month.
