nothing. I carry all my cash and cards in my pockets. In case I get robbed, I just show my empty wallet.

Do you actually go through the motions of carrying an empty wallet? That is kinda funny...

alert mods

-Citi Dividend Visa (Citi's usual no BS 5%/1%. My first CC)
-Citi Dividend AMEX (I think this is great, AMEX and the 5%/1% benefit)
-Presidential Bank Checking ATM Card (will get the Visa debit card soon)
-Bank of America Visa Debit (just for atm's)

-Fidelity 1.5% Visa (signed up, waiting for approval. Great Cash Back rate, no limit)
-Discover Card sitting at home not being used. Too much BS, spending minimums and always a new program to sign up for. This month will be the last for it.

-License, work ID, business card or two

I just got an extra small wallet/money clip which I love.
I keep the other random membership cards and a couple checks in my car.
I've made an effort to consolidate lately. Narrowing things down to Citi, Presidential, Fidelity and Bank of America.

alert mods

Carry right now:

Citibank Dividend 5% (gas, groceries)
AMEX Hilton (USPS, and anything electronic or that i may have to dispute later)
MBNA fidelity 529 2% for anything else
USAA ATM card.
Penfed CC (1% foreign exchange fee - 1.25% Cash Back, best card to use outside of US)

Planning to get:
Citi MTVu card (restaurants and books)
Citi Dividend AMEX
Advanta business card
AMEX Starwood (to replace the hilton)
Presidential Bank ATM card.

I only carry 4 credit cards although 11 other cards sitting home and eating dust while enjoying either 0% or low APR on BTs. I never carry a balance on the below 4 accounts.

1. Discover Platinum - 5% Cash Back on gasoline.
2. Chase Platinum Business - 3% Cash Back on business expense (purchased from Staples, OfficeMax, Office Deopt...etc).
3. Chase Platinum Personal - a new card since 02/2006, enjoying 0% APR on purchases until 02/2007 and 1% Cash Back.
4. MBNA Worldpoint - rarely used since it is not true 1% Cash Back but have it for pricematch just in case.

alert mods

1) MTVu Visa - 5% non-tiered rebate on restaurants, fast food, movie theatres, etc. On the ThankYou network.

2) Chase Cash Plus Rewards MasterCard - 5% non-tiered Cash Back on gas, groceries, drugstores. $300/yr limit. Will move credit line into the Rewards Plus line ($750/yr limit) once I redeem my sign up bonus.

3) Household Bank Gold - 2% non-tiered Cash Back on all purchases. $300/yr limit.

4) Starwood AMEX - $30/yr fee. Includes extended warranty and BVG features. I may cancel this card seeing as how I never use BVG or extended warranty, and the ThankYou network offers better airline deals.

alert mods

I carry three debit cards (1 bank, and 1 business card for easy access to cash), and 1 PayPal debit card so I can suck my money out of my PayPal account whenever I get it, plus I get 1.5% Cash Back from it if I want to use it.
1 AMEX Blue Cash that is above the tier (6500+ spending gives 5% grocery, gas, and Drugstore + 1.5% Cash Back everywhere else)
1 Discover Restaurant Cash Back (now dead / no longer gives 5%)
1 Citi Plat Select Dividend, 5% groc., gas and Drugstore + 1% everywhere else
1 Citi Plat. Select.
1 mbna fidelity for tiny purchases to reduce chances of losing my billpay due to abuse (if I make a small purchase or two on it every month, I figure that there will be reduced chances of disciplinary actions taken.)

I read this thread and then thought I would google for a picture of cryptopunk's wallet. I found it, and it seems alright. But what really caught my eye was the Accordian wallet that holds 50 cards!! Hmmm... If I get that I can put all my app-o-rama cards in it. So I guess that begs the question, what do app-o-rama veterans do with all the plastic?

highmktgoods said: what do app-o-rama veterans do with all the plastic?

I have a three ring binder with business card holding plastic sleeves. I only need three credit cards in my wallet itself.

5%/1% Gas/Groc/Pharm that I haven't used up yet (Citi or Chase)
5% Resteraunt/Movie/Bookstores mtvU
2% Everything else BoA Power Rewards (until I hit 50K to cash out before it gets discontinued

Plus:
Debit Card for cash
Sam's Club
Driver's License
Uni ID

alert mods

what I carry in my wallet...

WF ATM/Debit
Citibank ATM/Debit
Discover Platinum (used for 2 gas station purchases/mo to keep 0% forever)
AMEX True Earnings (3% restaurants)
Chase Rewards Plus (5% everyday purchases)
Citi Professional (I know there are rebates on this, but I'm using it simply to bump my credit line before requesting a 12 month balance transfer before the end of the first 12 months of having the card).

alert mods

Used to have tons of crap in my wallet (insurance cards, every single CC, pictures, etc). I've downsized to just this:

AMEX Blue (misc purchases)
Chase Cash Plus Rewards MC (5% gas, groceries, drugstores)
BoA Efectiva Visa - (1% anything)
Drivers License
USAA Debit Card

I swap out the Chase card for the equivilent Citi Div Plat Select from time to time.
Also swap out the BoA card for Citi Professional Cash (3% on restaurants) or any other cards I have that need use.

alert mods

I only carry a money clip these days.

1) BoA Banking Benefits Visa (2% no cap Cash Back on everything)
2) Chase PerfectCard MC (3% Cash Back on gas)
3) BoA debit card
4) < $40 in cash
