Just for clarification, VivYip, I wanted to let you know that the Bank of America Financial Rewards card is not a 1% back credit card. I personally have this card and was led to believe it was. You only earn 1 point for every $100 in net monthly spending meaning if you spend $99 on February's statement and $10 on march's statement you earn zero points. So only if you spend exact increments of $100 and they post by the end of your closing statement date will you earn exactly 1% back otherwise it will be less up to 0% back. It is a sad card in my opinion. The PowerRewards card is much better as at least if you spend enough you can get a full 1% or 2% back.

In my wallet, I have...

Lexus Persuits Visa... 1% rebates, 5% rebates at Lexus dealer, to be used on parts, service, and new Lexus vehicles... everyone always comments on the huge Lexus logo on the front of the card, so this is the card I only use at clubs, or restraunts if the waitress is hot, haha jk

Chase Rewards Visa... 5% CashBack at selected locations, no interest for 12 months.

AMEX Blue... no interest for 6 months, reward points

US Bank Visa... first credit card I got when I turned 18... nobody else would give me an unsecured CC.

PayPal debit card, bank debit card, prepaid AMEX card from the dealership I bought my car at

A nice trick to reduce the number of grocery store club cards you carry is to offer your phone number at checkout. I learned this after forgetting my card one time and the checker asked for my phone number. Now, I ask every time at checkout if I can enter my phone number for the rewards card. It works at Safeway, Giant, CVS, and lots of others.

Of course, if you are private about giving your real phone number out when getting these cards, just try to remember your fake number you used to sign up

I think some of you should reduce the numbers of cards in your wallet: consider what would happen if the wallet were stolen or lost. You definitely should not have all your cards there; you need one or more cards for backup.

1. Chase PerfectCard MC (I sure hope they change their ugly uniform design before my old, stylish one is replaced.)
2. Alternated: Chase Cash Plus Visa and Citi Dividend Select MC
3. Driver's license
4. Student ID
5. Insurance card
6. Safeway card
7. AAdvantage card (not that I ever use it)
8. About $10 in bills and variable coins (I require a coin pouch.)
9. A few coupons

I used to carry 4 credit cards at a time until I started to think about theft fees.

1 - Citi Dividend (Gas, Drugstore, Supermarket)
2 - Citi MTVu (Restaurants)
3 - AMEX Starwood (everything else - if place is NOT in above categories and does NOT take AMEX, i uually use Dividend)

The information I have on that card states that the rebate check can be submitted at CostCo for cash.

Linky
Click on Terms & Conditions, then search for 'Information on Rebate'.

I stopped carrying a wallet because it got to fat and uncomfortable to sit on.

Now I just carry my stuff in my pocket. 1 pocket has about $20 or less in cash. The other pocket has my driver's license, ATM card, NFL rewards CC, and Discover card.

For a thin wallet, try the All-ett. I bought one and can't seem to go back to carrying a normal leather wallet. I carry:

Thanks for posting that. I ordered one after seeing your post, and have had it for a week now. Other than feeling flimsy, it's awesome: I carry a ton of stuff and it's barely noticeable.

In my wallet I have:

Citi Dividend Platinum Select Visa - 5% on gas, grocery, Drugstore, 1% on everything else.
Chase Cash Plus Rewards Visa - Same rebate structure as Citi, Use it when I reach $300 cap with Citi
Discover Restaurant Card - 5% Cash Back on restaurant purchases up to $1,500 in restaurant purchases annually, after that, it's 3% up to $3,000 in restaurant purchcases annually. This card is no longer available for new cardholders, I was told by a Discover representative.

What I want to get in the future (See my recent post about this card)
Bank of America Power Rewards Visa Platinum
1 point for every dollar you spend
Redeem 30,000 points for $450 Cash Back (1.5% back)
Redeem 50,000 points for $1,000 Cash Back (2% back)
Points expire after 5 years, so if you spend $6,000 or $10,000 in a year, it's worth it.

Just to confirm, I redeemed mine for cash at my local Costco. Crash 22 is correct in that the terms and conditions specifically state that it can be redeemed for cash.

Guess I am in the minority. I try to carry as little as possible, which encourages me to spend LESS, which is the mode I am in now.

Usually this is what I have on me financially (albeit it not in a wallet)

1. AMEX Gold - BVG, extended warranty, double pts (through 3/31)
2. Medical FSA Debit card - just in case
3. ATM card - just in case (haven't used it since 1/11/06, which is a great thing)
4. Metrocard - NYC unlimited monthly transportation

I do have other lines of credit, but usually will only use Discover to take advantage of a special perk and I know in advance if I need it on me.

Chase Cash plus Rewards...5% back at Super Walmarts/Super Targets in local area
Local grocery discount card...save 2 cents/gallon on gas.

Presidential Debit card---a great Checking account!
UFB Direct ATM card---first $4.50/month ATM fees rebated---decent savings account rate as well.
Drivers license
Health insurance card
Dental insurance card
Ham radio license
Few calling card details
Self-made card stating which credit cards to use in which cases (largely for my SO)!

Shirt pocket contains:
