Did not get instant response. Called to get status a couple hours later. Got approved for $7000.
My Credit score is between 720-730. |

I applied yesterday, no instant decision. I called in today and got approved, but it only has $1000 credit limit (in fact, it is even better because I only need the $100 reward.) |

Filled out app last night, and did not get instant approval... too late to call and talk to an analyst so I just called and checked the status... I was approved, but the automated system does not say the credit limit. For those of you wondering it may not hurt to call and check the status even though it's been a short amount of time. |

So if you call, they'll give you your credit score? |

I doubt they gave him his score, I think he is just mentioning the score he got on his own for reference. If you want your free FICO then look for the MyFico.com thread about the 30-day trial, which will give you your Expertian FICO score for free. |

You get "Equifax" FICO from myfico.com's free score watch trial, not Experian.
It's really risk-free and you can cancel it before the trial ends by e-mail.

Wow...that's quick. Once I got approved, the account is shown on my online account within 48 hours. Hopefully this time I still can get $100 credit, even though I apllied this card shorter than 90 days ago. |

I've read through this post and haven't seen this answered yet. If it's a statement CREDIT, how can you get creidited $100 for only spending 10 bucks on the card?
Also, this is my first mbna card, and i got 5k limit. what's my long term strategy to get high cl 0% bt offers from mbna? will i get any with this card, or should i open up another mbna card and combine the schwab 5k cl to a new card that will get 0% bt offers?
Please help, thanks. |

Ah. You spend $10 - and they put the statement credit on. Then you have a $90 credit on your CC.
BT offer is rather clearly laid out in the offer.
Suggest you look around for what other mbna offers might better fit your ahem strategy.. |

Just charge more things on the card. Gas, Groceries, Coffee. Seems like $100 can be easily spent...
Don't look at it as have $100 you can invest witih. Think of it as $100 that you won't have to pay out of pocket as you live your normal life. |

It is your $100, use it by charging the cc, BillPay, etc.
Typically one has a $75 BT fee that is difficult to waive. It is hardly worth it with your $5K limit (not sure whether you can get more credit line with another application, maybe not).
I have only 1.9% BT deals with most of my MBNA accounts. |

Thanks OP, Instant approval. I have another card from a previous $100 gift card deal. I don't think I met the 180 day requirement but it went through anyway. FREE MONEY! You gotta love FW |

We're sorry but we're unable to approve your application at this time. You will receive a written response in seven to 10 days with further information.
does this mean they need more time or info or i got rejected? |

Call in the next business day. They can tell you the decision by phone.
My GF and I both got this message. We called the phone in the first page on the next day and were told approved.

Is anyone who jumped on previous Schwab CC deals in the past 180 days worried, though they were approved for this one, that they are still not eligible for the $100 statement credit or gift card? |
