I tried to link this DIME MMA account from my Treasury Direct account, as a checking account, and I received the following message from Treasury Direct:
"In an attempt to verify your bank information DIME SAVINGS BANK OF WILLIAMSB, Account Number *********, we received a notice from your financial institution indicating there may be a problem with the data you submitted."
Did anybody else experience this? bksavings, you said you linked it successfully from a Citibank account. |

I tried to link this account from the Treasury Direct side (using the account number that starts with 0) both as a checking and as a savings account, without success. Each time I got an error message from the TD saying there is a problem on DIME's side. As a result, I called DIME and they said the only way I can deposit money is via a check or via ACH from the same account that was used for the initial deposit. |

Just got my first statement and it shows a rate of 2.7%. I called dime who informed me that the 6% isn't credited until after the 90 days. Is this correct? has anyone received the 6% interest credited right away? |

My statement showed a rate of 5.83000% and a yield of 6.00%
The lower rate is what shows up when you look at your account on-line. |

They might be calculating your earned interest incorrectly, averaging the interest earned across the whole of the month vs. your average account balance for only a portion of the month. |

got an email stating the rate online is what it would be after promo but i was credited the correct amount. However, I sent back an email showing them that based on the 6% apy I should have received more interest than I was creditted, I got a second email with an apology and they are crediting my account today with the correct interest. |

It seems you were trying to put money IN to Dime. You think that makes a difference? |

It seems you were trying to put money IN to Dime. You think that makes a difference? I'm not sure I see why it would make a difference. When you try to link an external account in TD, it doesn't ask you if you want to make a pull or a push, just the account number, routing and account type. I tried several combinations, then I gave up since each time I got an error email from TD that that there was a problem when they tried to link it. Each time I also got a notification via snail mail from DIME that there was an unsuccessful linking attempt. |

Sounds like I set it up same as you. This was actually my second attempt to link with Dime. The first attempt, I used the account without the leading zero. TD sent me an email saying they cancelled the transaction because Dime returned my debit. I immediately attempted again by adding the leading zero to the account number, and it went through. I can already see the amount withdrawn from Dime and can see it added to my TD account.
Strange that it didn't work for you. Per their normal procedure, TD put a 5 day hold on the transferred money. I will report back if the transfer gets returned again. |

I also had the same problem with my account showing 2.470% rate online. The interest rate disclosure they sent says 5.830 (6.0 APY). I called and was told that the 6% is credited after 90 days! ?!?! |

they told me the same thing which was incorect. I then sent an email to them stating I was credited the wrong amount of interest and showd them my calulatoin. got an apology back and my account was credited the correct interest. that was my first month. Tomorrow I'll see if they fixed it correctly. the online rate info is incorrect, the important place is what is on the statement. my statement showed the wrong interest. Apparently the confusion the reps have is how the rate is displayed so they are telling folks it will be correct after 90 days.
send them an email what you think your interest should be. be sure to state that you were credited the wrong amount.
Update: Interest properly credited this month (online rate shows incorrect but correct $$$$ credited) |

I was told by a CSR when I opened the account no ACH out. I was happy to write a check from the Dime account for a CD at a credit union last Friday. Still earning 6% in both accounts 5 days later. I love those 3 day weekends. |
