Perhaps between my name and address they knew there was no money to be made from me by doing a soft pull.I doubt it. My credit report reeked to high heaven (low scores, high balances, lots of inquiries) and they still seemed interested in pursuing me. |

I met with the advisor, he said I was too young(20), but there was no mention of the $75. It has been about 1.5months or more now. How do I go about getting my $75 now? |

After about 3 months I finally get contacted by an advisor who sets up an appointment. Three months, what great customer service.
I know this is my fault but the link in the OP no longer mentions $75. Does anyone have an ad-scan or some other form of proof I can print out in case they give me a hard time? |

I actually signed up for this service a while back and received several calls from them wanting to set up an appointment. I didn't really follow up on it because I had other things going on at the time. Then about a week later, I received a letter in the mail saying that when I am ready for a consultation, to give them a call and they included a $100 "check" for my trouble and said to bring it to the consulation with me so the financial advisor could sign it and send it in.
I still haven't followed up on it yet, but it seems like a good offer because the "check" is good til 12/31/06. |

I just went to my consultation. One hour and forty minutes later we were done. She was actually pretty smart and knowledgeable about a pretty broad range of products. I couldn't trip her up with a single question. I'm not saying it is worth $500 a year, that is that what I was offered to use her as a financial advisor ($400 if Costco member), but it wasn't a terrible service in my opinion.
Although I already take advantage of most of the things she mention (Roth IRAs, 529s, etc), to someone who didn't have those the advice she had definitely would have paid for the $500 to sign up.
One problem though, I can't get the $75 unless I give a certificate to sign talking about the deal. I never got a certificate but I know I signed up through the $75 offer. I told her she got my information through the $75 sign up (how else could she have called me in the first place?) but she said that wasn't enough.
Anyone have an scan? Please???? I put in a good 100 minutes, I want my $75. Thanks |
