You guys are so fuggen hilarious!!! I was so depressed over the situation--Lets see where I start I didn't think I would get so many replies---Sorry about the all cap header---desparation---What happened was my mom defaulted on 3 months of payments and she had no phone service---It went down to the head office in Depere WI and the risk assets officer took a ride up to see what was going on and she wasn't home at the time so he saw cats everywhere and immediately became afraid for his very life (Pet Sematary phobia?) and called the sheriffs to gain access (illegal) they knocked down the door to discover to their horror cats sleeping, eating and looking at them with inquisitive expressions----sheriff understood this was a life or death situation here so he called the health department who executed 14 cats within 24 hours to save the city of Medford from sure destruction
My mother was watching my brother's child in Wausau cause his wife has MS while the cats had their run of the house came to a horrible end---When my mom came back she found a cat SHOT THROUGH THE STOMACH WITH INSIDES OUT AND STILL ALIVE---What I wanna know was who shot tyson? (cat's name) If you ask me, its a huge coverup no one and I mean NO ONE is talking |

simmer, Glad your sense of humor is helping you get through this. Your story is getting better by the minute,so more humor is sure to follow. I would guess no one is talking because they don't want to get sued. Hard to believe the health department uses guns to euthanize. Oh that's right you said it was in Wisconsin. |

Zillow gave me nothing on property values---I guess it doesn't think homes are even there----Its a five bedroom house with 2 car garage on a 1.3 acre lot---the 1.3 is the whole wraparound land front and back---No the land was appraised at only 5K---I guess my mom was trying everything to sell while she was still there----The way the land is wrapped around the property doesn't give us a land sale only approach---The foundation is shifted, it was when we first got it but I guess more so now and there is water/mold damage upstairs due to leaking roof---its away from town so it uses well for water and septic which were both jacked---What I learned is that this house was not built on site that it was moved from another site and dropped before it reached current site which would explain my biggest problem which is foundation shifting---I don't know if that really happened or not----What about demolition? Or Taylor County provides low income housing to needy families---could I work that angle where they take possession give it to a family of people with no sense of smell? |

It sounds like the problems lie much deeper than your credit and/or this house. There appears to be wayy more problems in and through this whole situation. If it were me, I would humble myself to the Lord and give it to Him... and watch Him take care of the whole situation for my good. That's just what I would do. Or you could take advice from EVERYONE on here, and see where that gets you. I'd be siding with the Lord. |

Few comments: 1) Do you have homeowner's insurance? Have you seen if damage due to pets/infestations is covered? It is worth asking. 2) What type of construction? A concrete slab might not be as bad as wood pier and beam. 3) Is the home located where commerical development can occur? If so, you might be able to donate the property for use as an animal shelter, wildlife rescue center. 4) Apply for one of those TV shows - Extreme Home makeovers, etc. 5) Call the company with the urine remover stuff posted above and offer the place for them to film for free, or to test their product.

simmer, you said it had mold damage from a leaky roof, eh? That is something covered by some home owners insurance policies, and in some cases, mold can meet a total write off. Have you contacted the insurance company about that? You could claim the home was a vacation home and cats must have gotten thru the hole in the roof without your knowledge. |

I assure you that no lending agency will finance the property you have now more thoroughly described. Is there public hunting land nearby? Maybe you could advertise it as a hunting shack? Lots of guys drive up from Chicago and Milwaukee to hunt in northern WI and stay in squirrel-poop infested cabins each deer season. The combinataion of leaking roof, presence of mold and water damage, problems with the foundation, small lot, and pet damage points to a stick of dynamite as the only really viable solution for the property itself. The land is worth $5k and the house is worth -$5k because of the cost of demolition, so you owe $19k on a property worth $0. Ouch. Let it go into forclosure and fix your relationship with your mom. She is your mom, after all. As a wise Thai taxi driver once said, "Money come, money go." There are more important things in life than money and a good credit report. |

The lender may not even want to take it back if it’s for all intents and purposes a public nuisance. Might be time to negoiate a release of the note with them for some nominal amount leaving Mom holding the bag when it comes time for the goverment to deal with it. |

FYI mold litigation was killed about two weeks ago here in CA via a case that completely raped the primary mycotoxin blood serology test as being unscientific. |
