when I put the code in online it doesn't say 10,000 pts under benefits - only no interest until 5/07. Do they tell you that you will receive the 10k pts anytime during the online signup process?
and the other one is until 4/1/2007 and you need to sign up by May 15, 2006, the one i posted is different So the other thread couldn't be updated with the new offer code?
I wish people would relax a bit around here - sheesh!

I just spoke with a Citi rep and she stated that they now mail checks to customers for balance transfers and no longer direct deposit/ACH the BT amount into a requested account.
Has anyone ran into problems trying to deposit these sort of checks? I remember running across a post from a FW member who had issues when the check never cleared in this scenario and the bank came after him.

I did this offer and received 3(maybe 4) balance transfer checks. I think they told me the checks take quite a bit longer to process then doing it via phone but they work the same way. They also told me you can request more checks later if you need them.

i agree, just putting it in an "old" thread, if i were to see it listed in finance, then i would think its old and has nothing new in it

I don't see where it mentions the $100 GC. Where can i find that? I'm hessitant to apply for something that doesn't have a clear fine print of all the benefits like the $100 GC.

Got an offer today for a Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards MasterCard but with 0% BT until 8/1/07, an extra 3 months. OP, where on the offer did you find the 4 digit offer code? Mine only has a "Personal Online Number".

how is the approvals and CL on these? also, does the application trigger "alarms" at AMEX? I always try to keep lowand never request increases on my AMEX cards.

From their terms and conditions:
Please note you cannot transfer balances from other accounts issued by Citibank USA N.A., Citibank (South Dakota) N.A., or their affiliates.

For citi card, they send checks, which can not be deposited into your own checking, unless you want it to be a cash advance with fee,as informed by a CSR. But someone did mention the possibility to BT to yourself via their website, which will also turn out to be a check but to yourself. I am not sure this will vary among different cards or is a general rule for all citi cards.

I appreciate the posting of new Citi offers, but how about one central Citi offers thread? Posters could contribute offers as they come in. That might help everyone keep track of old and new offers in one, neat central place.

currently there is no such thing, it would be an interesting idea if FW could setup a better method of tracking these offers. because just posting in an older offer, is stupid and confusing for everyone, and more people will tend to ignore it
on the downside, we would also end up with huge threads discussing the various offers, which would be cumbersome

Offer Code: F5D5
" The offer code you entered is invalid. Please check the offer code and try again."
do you get charged differently if you "Put Money in Your Bank Account" rather pay off another card??
It seems like both options are free...
No. At least as of a few months ago, they just mail you a check with your name on it. I deposited it in BoA checking with no problem.
How long did it take to get the check from when you initiated it?

Citibank is pissing me off. I got denied, with a letter saying the reasons were 1) Your credit report shows too few credit references (subjective- I've got 4-5 accounts, but whatever) 2) Your credit report shows late payments on accounts.
The second part is BS. I got my credit report from Experian (the ones they used, saying I have late payments) and there are no late payments whatsoever. In fact there is not a single "potentially negative item" on my report.
And it is not like it says that 1) and 2) are "possible reasons" -- they say that these are the exact reasons why I did not score well. While they provide a phone number for Experian, to dispute mistakes on my credit report, they do not provide any number to dispute their mistakes in reading the thing. I'll probably call them, but I'm sure they will just say.. oh well, you still don't qualify for reason number 1). But I am almost certain that if they hadn't mistakenly thought I had late payments, I would have gotten the card.
This does look like a great deal for those that qualify, so thanks O.P, but I thought I would share that Citi sometimes claims that late payments exist, even when there are none.

So I signed up for this online and they said I will receive my card in about two weeks. There was no where to enter a balance transfer. Has anyone signed up online and did a transfer?

So let me get this straight. I can do bt and purchases. If I make a payment they are going to apply to my 0 apr bt first then to my purchase. So if I have a card with say $6k bt and $1k purchase, I have to payoff the $6k bt first while my $1k is sitting over gaining interest and of course I wont be able to payoff the 6 for a year from now??
