Okay, my gut instinct is to do a monster BT any time I see a 0% offer.

However... since the 3% fee is uncapped, it complicates the math for me...

Let's assume a $10,000 credit limit (for fun), and a 100% BT, which gets laundered into a cash advance, to keep the math easy. The fee would be $300.

Now, I'm pretty sure I could invest that money nearly risk free at about 5%. Over 12 months of the 15 month BT, my total profit would be $200.

(of course the deal is for 15 months, but let's assume

... is a bonus 2% return worth the time, effort, and credit score wonkiness?

I call the 800 #, option 3 and after entering my phone # it informs me the office is closed and to call during regular business hours. How are you guys getting a CSR?

I will call tomorrow to make sure I was really approved, but soon I will be rocking my NY Jets Nano with pride!

Wahoo, was approved! Not a sports fan by any means, but I'm a huge apple fan

Thanks for the deal OP!

Having a large balance that you do payments on each month will probably help your credit score.

Other "Extra Points" Team Cards

The Jets are the only team giving away nanos. BUT the reward catalogs actually look GOOD.

You can get 2 non-nosebleed tickets to a home game for 10,000 points. I also noticed I can get 2 tickets to watch a Redskins game from a luxury suite for 15,000 points.

If you are in a state where you can eBay tickets, you can increase the dollar value of reward points greatly.

Did not get instant approval even though my FICO score is around 780. Actually, I've never gotten an instant approval on a CC app but have never been turned down for one either. The only time I ever received instant approval was for a mortgage of $178,000 over the phone. Go figure.

I'm in for this. Hopefully the 1GB will be obsolete within 8-12 weeks and they will send out 2GB models.

I have a FICO of 815 and was denied instant approval. The only other time I didn't get instant approval was for the $150 gift card from the Charles Schwab card, which was also MBNA. I still have that card, so I hope I'm eligable.

After entering my phone number the system informed me to enter it again. After entering the phone number again, it was transferred to a customer service specialist. Glad to hear that I got approved so quickly!

Same thing for me, ph #, enter it again, says its going to transfer me, then says the office is closed and to call 9-9 M-F. What gives?

There is no cap on BT fees, does this mean that we won't be able to take much advantage out of BT?

Are we sure the website is secure?

Forgive my ignorance but why does the website start with wwwa.applyonlinenow.com
I could not find info about this. applyonlinenow.com is registered to Bank of America and not MBNA.

I understand the certificate looks good but can it be trusted? I am paranoid of security.

Called 800# and was told that I got approved, so glad
Actually I've prepared for the rejection, since I got too many hard inquiries recently: citi checking, 2 AMEX, 1 Sony...
FICO must have dropped down dramatically.

got rejected from the instant approval...I might call the 800 number to see if I get approval. Students never get approved easily

Just applied.
Thanks OP.

Again not a huge fan of NY Jets...I was just wondering if I can apply the Jets cc and after receiving the ipod switch to the Oakland Raiders cc? Anyone has this experience?
